Hi! I'm Jess, a young adult raised in the GTA. My love and interest for animals started, like many young children, with a trip to the Toronto Zoo. Over the past 8-10 years, I've had the pleasure of caring for a wide variety of my own pets including birds, fish, invertebrates and dogs. In my down time, I like developing crochet patterns and learning a wide variety of new skills, including a long standing interest in animal behavioural. Due to the fact that I currently keep birds at my own home, I am only able to do home visits or walks. I have previous experience with behaviourally problematic small animals and behavioural training for companions both big and small. From this experience, I can incorporate some behavioural training into house visits if requested. Walks will be either to the nearest park/trail or within the nearby location of your choosing. If your pet has a familiar walking route, please let me know. Visits and walks will last between 20-30 minutes each, unless otherwise booked/specified. When caring for your pet the first time, I do require knowledge of your pet's attitude towards strangers, their current diet, as well as any particularities about their behaviour or health that might be of concern. Administration of oral care depends vastly on the animal. If your animal is not yet familiar with receiving medication through a syringe, I can also work to help familiarize them with that through visits. Please note: My primary specialty is in exotic pets (small mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, invertebrates).
