Whom does a professional pet sitter trust to look after her cat but another professional pet sitter like Carla? Carla and I have been pet sitting colleagues for the past several years with filling in for each other and passing along booking requests that the other can't take on. My own clients have expressed to me that they've been pleased with Carla's services when she's filled in for me, and I knew that Carla would provide that same excellent standard of care to my cat, Tom, while I was away. Carla got Tom, a normally shy kitty around new people, to come out and play laser pointer with her several times. He did really well with Carla, and I will always check with Carla first to see if she's available when I need pet sitting care for Tom.

Kate and Rimas were great cat sitters. They responded quickly after the first request to book and gave us constant communication while they were taking care of our cat. Not only did they follow the directions we set for feeding/caring of the pet, were also conscientious of our home and made sure the cat food dishes were cleaned and that scooped litter was removed. They also played with our cat and sent plenty of pictures of her when were away which was greatly appreciated. We would not hesitate to book Kate and Rimas again and gladly recommend them to anyone needing a pet sitter in the area.

Frequently asked questions

Your pet sitting questions answered

What does pet sitting include?

When you book our pet sitting services, an experienced pet sitter will visit your home and spend some one-on-one time with your pet.

Who will be caring for my pet during the pet sitting booking?

Pawshake only accepts pet and dog sitters who have experience and/or qualifications caring for pets. You can search, choose and have a free meet and greet with your pet sitter or dog minder prior to making a booking.

Is pet sitting the right option for my pet?

Pet sitting is the perfect option for pets who prefer staying in their own home environment and would like some company during the day. This means your pet gets to enjoy high quality and personalised care that is better than pet hotels.

What is the difference between pet sitting and pet hotels?

Pet sitting is a personalised service where a pet sitter visits your home and spends one on one time with your pet. Pet hotels can be stressful and usually involve your pet sharing their space with other pets and interacting with different staff members each time.
