About Tyler

There's 3 kinds of pets in the world: you got your doggo's and you got your puppers! And let's not forget about the cats, and I love them all! Currently, do not have pets of my own and working from home, so I need to get out and stretch my legs just as much as your fur baby!

Growing up, I had a few pets. First was Sasha, a black cat I sadly didn't get any pictures of (didn't have a cell phone back then). Then CJ, a beautiful Golden Retriever came next, and she actually got along with Sasha thankfully! CJ was used to having a large yard to play in and explore so when we moved, my mom decided to find new owners for her as our new place was much smaller. Still, miss her playfulness... .

Max the Himalayan/Persian cat moved in next, along with my stepdad. Max was the best! Creamy long white fur, and so soft! He lived to be 20 years old too, and was great even in his elder years. After I moved to my dads, we got a Husky/German Shepard named Rocky. He was a great doggo and I would often go trail jogging with him in the hills behind the house, and set him free to run along with me. He could usually outrun me, at first at least until I started really getting into shape, and he was more tired than me at the end.

The last couple pets I've had were 2 guinea pigs, Bob and Iggy. They were the most fun piggies to play with! I had a great set up for them in their cage and would probably have gone bigger, but had to move to Alberta for work and so had to re-home them. Currently, I am pet-less but will probably start looking when I find a place where I can have animals again.

Having had a variety of different pets throughout my life, I have good experience with all different shapes, sizes, and temperaments and can easily adjust as needed. Your dog or cat (or other pets) will have the upmost attention and care when I am with them, and perhaps even too much fun! If your dog gets along with other dogs, great! I will always ask other owners on walks before approaching their dog, to be sure your dog will be safe.

Depending on how active your dog/cat is, I can easily adjust walk and play time to their needs. If they need their exercise, out we go! For home visits throughout the day, I have quite a flexible schedule right now and these typically last about 30 minutes per visit, but we can discuss times and length of visits for walking/play time if you feel I would be a good fit for you and your pet. If I'm housesitting for you, I can do shorter walks of 15-20 minutes if you have an older dog, or up to an hour (or longer!) for a younger or more energetic pup. I want your dog or cat to feel as comfortable and safe as possible while you are gone, so any routines they may have will not change. Working from home I set alarms throughout the day to ensure all my work and tasks get done, and this is easily transferrable to a pets routine (ie: feeding times, walks, giving medicine, outside bathroom breaks etc.). I live close to Nose Hill park and enjoy going trail jogging up there so I'm used to being out and about for longer periods of time. The distance can be adjusted to whatever your dog needs currently, and I'm happy to give them a good run and tire them out if you have a more active dog.

I will only work with one dog at a time to give my full attention to them, and send lots of pictures during the doggy date. If I'm available for the dates you are looking for, just click on the Contact button and tell me about your pup/cat, and be sure to ask any questions you may have!

The next step is to book a Meet and Greet to see if we’re a good fit. Looking forward to meeting you and all your pets!
