I’ve been a cat person my whole life. I grew up with cats and have always had them around me, especially strays that somehow found their way into our home. We didn’t just “keep” them. We treated them like family. Our place basically became a little castle for cats, and they were all kings and queens in their own way.

I decided to start pet sitting after I looked after a close friend’s cat (the Queen herself 😄). I really loved the experience, spending time with her, making sure she felt safe and comfortable, and knowing my friend could relax while she was away. It made me want to do this more.

I’ve lived with cats since I was born, so I’m used to all kinds of personalities, shy ones, sassy ones, cuddly ones, and independent ones. I also have a lot of experience with senior cats. I’ve had to say goodbye to at least three of my own over the years, all of them 15+, so I understand the extra care, patience, and gentleness older cats need. My current queen is 19 years old and is the longest-reigning monarch in my life.

Right now I don’t take cats into my home, but when I do in the future, I’ll only accept vaccinated pets. I’m planning to get a cat of my own, and I want to keep everyone healthy and safe.
