About Camila
**I work a first come, first serve service. If the booking isn't done it's not confirmed**
My name is Camila, I am a 24 year old from Colombia and have always had a big love for any kind of animal. Growing up I had a dog named Tommy, he was a golden retriever and was the first dog I ever loved. Later my aunt got me a cat and now, almost 13 years later, she is still with us. We also got a new dog as soon as I graduated High School in 2018 so I haven't lived without animals for more than 3 years in my life and it brings me joy to see them even just walking down the street.
When I moved to Canada back in 2019, I had to sadly leave my cat and dog back home with my parents and it has been the hardest thing I have done, I miss them everyday. I wish I could bring my cat with me but unfortunately I am not in the position to bring her with me so I am doing my best to get money so I can be stable enough to bring her.
With my beautiful pets I learned a lot, I have cleaned up their messes, given them medication, bathed them and cut their nails. I loved going to the park and playing with my dog but also cuddle with my cat and him back at home. It's something I miss being able to do and I want to be able to go back into which is why I want to be a pet sitter.
During my life, I have taken care of pets other than mine as well, I used to cat sit for one of my dad's friends when he had business trips, which I did depending on what worked best for him, so at first I would go over to his place and stay with the cat for around 4 hours so I could earn his trust, later I started spending the night over there and eventually, he felt comfortable enough with me bringing his cat over to my place. I did this for a few other friends as well but that was mainly me either staying with them or going everyday.
My home right now sadly is not pet friendly which is also why I am not able to bring my cat with me yet, so I wouldn't be able to bring in a pet to sit, however, I am more than willing to do the commute everyday and if with time I gain the trust, I would also be willing to stay over with the pet, whatever is more comfortable for the owner.
I follow directions very well, and I am even used to a strict eating and walking schedule since my cat is very old at this point and she is on a very strict diet. I also am known by my friends as the person who can get along with every pet, so far I haven't failed and I hope that stays that way.
