I am very experienced with cats (I have 1 of my own currently but grew up with cats and dogs), experienced with dogs and interested in all other animals. I'm comfortable with reptiles and insects also.

I enjoy the jobs I get on Pawshake because meeting new animals and having the chance to get to know them is one of my passions. Each animal has a distinct personality and I relish the challenge of anticipating their needs and wants, and building a relationship with them. Earning the trust of an animal is so rewarding.

Home visits and dog walks are 30 minutes. I will feed and play with your pet, as well as clean any litter boxes. I am also able to water plants/feed fish/collect mail/take garbage and recycling out, if those are things that need doing when I visit your pet(s). I sometimes take house sit requests, and those services include me staying with your pet(s) at your home and taking care of plants, receiving packages, etc, on a more in depth basis. 

I work remotely from home 8-4 Monday-Friday but am otherwise very flexible with timing of visits! I can pop by over a lunch break and visit in the early mornings or evenings as well.

I've just moved to Vancouver from Brisbane Australia, and would love to look after your fur-babies! I am 24 years old, and a stand up comedian. I moved here to live with my sister, and am loving the beautiful scenery and nature surrounding Vancouver. My sister is a veterinary technician, so if there's any problems help is not far away. I spend a lot of my free time walking and exploring, so I thought why not do this and make a few furry friends along the way! I have a lot of experience with animals, having grown up in a house/zoo with at least half a dozen dogs, cats, fish, canaries, guniea pigs, at any given time. I have experience with big and small dogs, having grown up with three Irish Wolfhounds, a Great Dane, and a miniature dachshund. 
I am free for house sitting and dog walking, up to 5 walks a day! Can walk for up to two hours in your area. I can also administer medication as requested. I don't have a requirement for vaccinated pets. 
I work as a stand up comedian, so I am free for walks all day and afternoon, and house sitting for long periods at a time. I cannot offer 24/7 care, but gigs are only a few hours at the most. I will make sure the house is locked up and secure, and will be there to care for your pets all day and most of the evenings.

I have always been a dog owner/lover and just recently adopted my first cat. Ever since I can remember I've been in love with dogs and want to hug and cuddle every dog in sight.  I trained my own little man Ollie based completely on everything I learned during my five years of volunteer work training (and puppy raising) service puppies at PADS. During my volunteer work I took an online course with Animal Behaviour College in 2005 and became a certified dog trainer in 2006.&nbsp;
My little Ollie is nearly 16 now and unfortunately no longer live with him but I still love him so much and look forward to my weekly visits and cuddles. Recently I adopted my very first cat. I've become a little obsessed with my new goofy, snuggle bug and do not regret the adoption in the least bit. I do hope to one day have two dogs with my boyfriend and be able to once again live with a dog I can love, and spend time with.&nbsp;
Unfortunately due to past and current health issues I am only capable of taking single dogs for walks who are up to 30 lbs even though I love all sizes. I will be happy to discuss and answer any of your questions or concerns about my health issues because I know every pet owner would want someone they can trust.&nbsp;
As for my services, I will be offerering dog walking and dog training (with some added pets and cuddles of course.) Training and spending time with dogs has always given me so much happiness and relaxation. ️ This is my first time putting myself out there offering help to the local pet parents and I can't wait to get started!&nbsp;
The dog walking services will involve a 30min walk around the area. I live above the beach so could take your dog to enjoy the cool breezy air or a simple neighborhood walk. Furthermore, I could work on simple walking manners if requested for no extra charge. Walking manners would involve, eye contact when asked, and no pulling.
I will also be offering basic obedience. Basic obedience involves the usual sit, down, stay, here, leave it, and heel. We can always use different words for the commands if you prefer. For my training services I offer a fun 60mins session with the owner applying only positive reinforcement with treats, toys or affection as rewards for the correct behaviour I ask for. From experience, many dogs respond best to a specific reward. My Ollie only responded with a combination of calm affection and treatos whereas some more energetic breeds respond best to toys and play as their reward. Unlike dog walking, the basic obedience will be $30 but I'll make sure your dog will have lots of fun with both. A little heads up though, I do sound a little ridiculous whenever I'm giving praise. Let's have fun and make your little guy think training is a party and something to look forward to! 
Unfortunately I will not be available on Sundays or any evening, but apart from that, I am quite flexible.&nbsp;

I've been offerring professional pet sitting for a little over 9 years now. In Alberta, I worked for a reputable pet sitting company, but since moving to Vancouver, I have been offering informal pet sitting and care to close friends. I would like to start offering pet care in a more formal way again, so here I am on Pawshake! 
I grew up in a home with cats and dogs (my parents run a rescue) and have a dog and a rabbit of my own. I have always been passionate about animals and prefer their company over humans! I have experience taking care of cats and dogs of all sizes (big breeds are no problem!) rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs, as well as a variety of farm animals. 
I work full time in HR and live in Crosstown, so my ideal service area is downtown (Yaletown/West End, Chinatown, Gastown) but I have a vehicle and am willing to travel further afield.

Hi, I'm Victor! I'm a young professional working in Tech in Vancouver. Originally from France, I moved to Canada in 2017.&nbsp;
In France, I grew up on a farm surrounded by dogs. I spent most of my afternoons after school taking care of them. That included feeding them, grooming them, taking them to the Vet when needed, walking them, and of course playing with them.
Ever since I moved to Canada, I miss my dogs, therefore being a dog sitter came as an obvious choice when looking for hobbies.&nbsp;
I am really not doing this for money, but just to spend time with dogs. Here is what I do and when I'm available:

I can walk your dog every day (except on weekends) for 2 hours after 2:30 PM. I live in Kitsilano, so I would mostly walk your dog around Kits Beach and Jericho Beach. I am runner, so I could also go for a run with dog, if you want them to exercise.
I can do home visits for a couple for 3 hours after 2:30 PM, I can do other things while coming for home visits (water your plants or get your mail). I can telework everyday, so if you are comfortable with me working around your dog, I can spend the day at your house.

En France, j'ai grandit dans une ferme, entouré de chiens. En rentrant de l'école je passais toutes mes après-midi à m'occuper d'eux. J'entends par là les nourrir, les nettoyer, les emmener chez le vétérinaire quand nécessaire, les promener, et bien évidemment passer des heures à jouer avec eux.&nbsp;
M'occuper de chiens me manque énormément depuis que je vis ici. Devenir dog sitter s'est donc révélé être un choix naturel.&nbsp;
Je ne veux vraiment pas faire cette activité pour l'argent, mais juste pour passer un peu de temps avec des chiens. Voici ce que je fais, et quand je suis disponible:

Je peux promener votre chien tous les jours (sauf la fin de semaine) à partir de 2:30 PM pendant 2 heures. Je vis à Kitsilano, donc je promènerai votre chien vers Kits Beach et Jericho Beach. Je suis également un coureur, donc je peux aussi emmener votre chien faire un peu d'exercice.
Je peux faire des visites à la maison pour une duree de 3 heures a partir de 2:30 PM. Pendant ces visites, je peux egalament arroser vos plantes et aller chercher votre courrier. Je peux teletravailler tous les jours, donc si vous êtes confortable a l'idée que je travaille en présence de votre chien, je peux rester la journée au complet.
