My profile has recently been reinstated, as I am now retired from my special needs education assistant career.
I am also a recent former home owner, and currently in the process of converting my van into a mobile tiny home. 
In the near future, I look forward to looking after pets and homes all over the world.
For the local assignments, I have my niece who is firmly settled in the community of Vernon. Judy is semi-retired and also a life long animal lover 
For the overseas assignments, and other parts of North America, I would ask you to consider me with my gentle cat Iz. She is a very special girl who loves everyone. I call her my dog cat. 
I realize that this could be problematic for some people with pets that don't like other stranger animals. 
However; if you would consider me, you can be completely confident that your instructions and care needs will always be followed. 
For your peace of mind, I will be very pleased to keep in regular contact with updates and photos. All you need to do is ask. :) I come from a large family of animal lovers. 
Our family always teased Mom that she had all the pics of our various family “furkids” in the living room; while the photos of so-called "real" kids and grandkids photos were relegated to the bedroom. Each much loved. I can thank both my parents for modelling their love of all animals, and many of my earliest and most poignant memories are of our family with our beloved pets.
I have many years of commitment and experience with both young and elder pets, and more than comfortable looking after medications or any other medical concerns. 
I love all Animals, Travel, Gardening, Culture, Cuisine, Adventure, Kayaking, Reading, Movies etc.
While I enjoy living a semi-nomadic life, I am a very reliable and grounded person. You can be assured that I will care for your pet and home with the greatest attention and respect. 
My career has always required full Police Checks, as I work closely with highly vulnerable people. Hi there!

This is Leia, an avid traveler and big animal lover. I recently relocated back to BC with my husband after our 10 years world adventure. These days we explore this magical wonderland, hiking, camping and road tripping, with occasional vacations abroad.

During my nomadic years, I chanced upon the concept housesitting and really appreciated each and every opportunity to love someone else’s fur baby when our life style didn’t quite allow us to have our own. I genuinely enjoy spending my days walking dogs and grooming cats. Their love, trust and company are simply pure and beautiful.

Although our travel has paused since covid, I figure my belly rubs and chin strokes don’t have to. I’m hoping to put my care and love for animals to good use by assisting busy professionals keeping their fluffy family members happy and helping fellow travellers leave their home with peace of mind. I understand how important a routine, a familiar environment and a warm and calm companion are for your loved ones. This is my goal to look after them just as you have been doing so you can relax knowing they are in good hands.

I’m currently available for:

  Overnight pet/house sitting anywhere in the Lower Mainland and Okanagan. I’d consider traveling further for longer sits or very special ones. I provide 24/7 around the clock care and presence for your precious babies during a sit, making sure they get all the exercise, attention and affection they absolutely deserve. Plants, mail, and other house chores will also be taken care of as needed and instructed.&nbsp;
  Dog walking for 30/45/60 minutes in your neighbourhood. I'm a runner and thru-hiker. And a four-legged company makes every trail better. A steady paced run or an energetic walk is promised for the athletes, while a gentle stroll with many stops to smell the roses is for the seniors and couch potatoes. Interaction with other dogs will be avoided or closely monitored upon your request.&nbsp;
  Home visits. It usually is a 30-60 minutes play date between me and your fur kid(s), during which water is changed, food provided or topped, litter cleaned, and love showered for your cats, pups, bunnies and other small animals. I can administer oral medicine if they are on any, and I’ll provide photo/video updates. In case your furry ones are timid around strangers, I’ll respect their space, provide quiet company and shorten my visit if preferred. I’ll leave your home in the same condition as when I find it.

Hi, my name is Colby! I am an animal loving college student, that would love to take care of your pet and home! I have had dogs for many years and I have a Australian doodle at the moment. I have loved animals since I was a young child and love being around them! I decided to start pet sitting because of my love for animals and because I like having autonomy in my work life! House and pet sitting also allows me flexibility to take my college classes and help out home and pet owners at the same time! I am hoping for a career involving animals so this experience helps me as well. I am a good communicator that can provide home and pet owners with as many updates as they need to ensure they feel at easy when it comes to their pet and home.
