About us:

My boyfriend Antoine and I have been together for almost two years. I’m originally from Mexico and he’s from France. I grew up my entire life with dogs of all sizes and breeds and he grew up with cats and dogs he sometimes walked around his neighborhood. In the summer of 2021 we took care of a friend’s dog for about 5 months and it was probably the best summer we have lived in Montréal yet. We both realized how much we miss taking care of dogs. Recently one of our friends told us about this app and we thought it was the perfect opportunity to help people and be surrounded by pets from time to time. Having a dog is what's missing in our lives and we're hopeful we'll get the chance with this Paw Shake community. I have taken care of my sister’s golden retrievers many times as well as my parents’ four dogs (including one that’s aggressive with other people and dogs). I have also some experience administering eye drops and medications dogs. My boyfriend has also dog sitted and cat sitted several times before, so overall we both have a good amount of experience with dogs and cats. Needless to say, we’re both willing to do this together, so we’ll help each other out when taking care of your babies.

About the services we offer:

We both have full-time jobs that occupy us from Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm), so we propose to walk days mainly on the weekends (and possibly sometimes during the week). Occasionally we work from home, so taking care of a pet some days during the week could also work for us. We could take dogs on a walk in the morning, at lunch time, and after work. Walks can vary from 1-3 hours (depending on where we go), and we can also take them to dog parks, so they can play and socialize with other dogs. We also offer to keep dogs overnight, if needed (max two dogs per night). If preferred, we could go to the owner’s house to take care of the pets there (we could stay there overnight or just for a few hours, like 4-6 hours). We will make sure the doors are locked and the dog is safe and well fed once we leave the house. We are flexible, so please let us know what your situation is and we’ll try to accommodate as much as possible. We would appreciate if the dog is vaccinated. We can give them meds if needed or eye drops. We also understand that dogs can’t be left alone for a long time, so we’ll do our best to accommodate our days/weekends to spend the day with the pets. On the weekends we mainly stay in the city, so taking care of a dog wouldn’t affect us much. It would just force us to go for more walks and to parks, which is exactly what we want! If desired, we can send you pictures/videos of what we are doing so you’re always updated on what we are up to. As already mentioned, we’re mainly available in the evenings during the week or all day during the weekends.

About the apartment:

We live in a 3 1/2 in a calm neighborhood. There is a nice park just across the street and an enclosed dog park less than 5 minutes away. We have no pets or roommates, and we always keep the apartment very clean. As mentioned above, the dog we took care of for five months stayed with us and we had no issues. We are excited to meet you and your dog/cat! We promise we’ll take care of them as if they were our own.
