Hi! I’m Alex, a very friendly, approachable, and patient person who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals, especially big breed dogs. Being 6’1” means I can comfortably handle strong or playful pups and match their energy during walks and play sessions.

For many years, I’ve been the first person my friends call whenever they need someone trustworthy to care for their pets from dogs and cats, daily visits, feeding, brushing, playtime, walks, and even cleaning up messes around the house if needed.

I live very close to Morningside Park, where I love hiking and taking dogs for stimulating walks surrounded by nature, new scents, and open spaces instead of repetitive concrete neighbourhood routes. I believe a proper walk should be no less than an hour, giving dogs enough time to fully exercise their body and mind while enjoying their surroundings.

I also have a large backyard measuring 80.5 by 60.8 feet (24.5 by 18.5 metres), where dogs can safely relax, run around, and play freely.

I’m also knowledgeable about dog behaviour and psychology, allowing me to better understand anxieties, personalities, and breed-specific needs. If you’d like, I can also help with basic positive reinforcement training for behaviours you’d like your pup to improve, learn, or become more comfortable with including things like fear of thunder or other stressful situations.

I’m also comfortable administering medications and carefully following any instructions for your pet’s routine and care.

I’m available full-time, all days of the week, from morning to evening, and I’ll always do my best to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, loved, and entertained while you’re away! A home away from home, not a kennel service with concrete and cages.
