I love animals and have many years of experience working with dogs and pets. I will treat your pet like a member of my own family. I have experience with dog training as well, and I like to make walks fun and dynamic to suit the dog's specific needs. I enjoy working with all types of dogs and pets. I am well suited for large and energetic dog's. I do not have a fenced yard but am fortunate to live next to an off-leash dog park to ensure your dog gets plenty of exercise. Dog walk lengths vary and depnds on the needs of the dog, but typically 2 to 3 walks per day. Usually walks last from 30 to 60 minutes or longer depending on the dog. Dogs will be kept on leash when outdoors unless the owner specifies they can be off-leash at the dog park. I also do hiking and pack walks. 

I do have my own one year old Shiba Inu, so any boarding or sitting in my home is subject to the pet being friendly with him. I typically only care for 1 to 2 pets at a time in my home to suit my family as our place is not too large. Pets may be left alone for up to an hour or two maximum if they are able to be unsupervised. I do have experience administering medications and pets are generally supervised at all times. Every pet is different, so I like to get to know their personality and routine before caring for them. Most of my experience is with dogs, but I’m comfortable caring for cats and other pets as well. I understand that some animals are social and playful while others need more space and a quieter approach. I follow their normal routines, pay attention to their behaviour, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I do have a car and am able to pick-up and drop-off for an extra fee to cover time and gas costs. Serving downtown Ottawa and surrounding area.
