Hi there! My name is Maya, and I live and work in NDG. I am the proud mom of a Pitbull named Tony and a cat named Blink. I am an assistant technician who works with blind animals everyday and has lots of experience with them. In my "free" time, I am on the board for an animal rescue in Cayo Coco, Cuba. I fundraiser, am I charge of adoptions, and go visit yearly to help build a bigger, safer sanctuary. I have worked with animals for the last 12 years, but have had pets my whole life and have been volunteering since I can remember. I am comfortable and have experience administering medications, and I am comfortable with animals who might not be as comfortable with strangers as we would wish. While working at the SPCA, I specialized in "aggressive" behaviour and rehabilitation. I have a calm demeanour, and am ready to take care of your pets as if they were on of my own. Unfortunately, I cannot allow other dogs into the house as Tony is quite territorial- but I am willing to walk or visit your home! I am motivated to join this app because I know the difficultly of finding someone to care for our fur babies when it's vacation time, or simply, when we need an extra hand. I also know we only want what is best for our little loves, and I promise I will give nothing but the best attention and care. Unfortunately, I cannot bring your pets home. Tony is a rescue and is not quite comfortable with strangers in the house. If it were urgent, I MAY be able to arrange something. We live in a lower duplex with a fully fenced yard 13 ft to be exact). Before booking, I would love to hear a little bit about your pets. I also require an emergency contact if we are a match and decide to work together!
