I am a Colombian veterinarian currently dedicated to pursuing a PhD at UdeM. My passion for animals was nurtured from a young age in a household that deeply valued the presence of pets. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to have a diverse range of animal companions, from loyal dogs and curious cats to adorable guinea pigs and even lab mice. These experiences have provided me with a profound understanding of the unique needs and behaviours for each of them.&nbsp;
Furthermore, I have actively sought to enhance my professional skills by working with hospitalized animals at a veterinary clinic. This invaluable opportunity has allowed me to apply my knowledge and expertise in a practical setting, providing medical care and support to animals in need. Witnessing the resilience and vulnerability of these animals has further motivated me to pursue advanced studies in order to contribute to their well-being on a larger scale.
The current focus of my contributions to animal health lies predominantly in utilizing computer-based approaches. However, this involvement serves as a strong motivator for me to actively seek opportunities that allow me to spend more time with animals&nbsp;


My 3-year old Golden Retriever named Sophie has given me invaluable experience in caring for dogs. I understand their needs, personalities, and the importance of exercise and playtime. I live in an appartment so I walk her around 5 times a day, including off leash walks on local trails so that she can run! Your pet would stay in my home during your absence. I would walk them a minimum of 5 times a day, and with your permission would also bring them to run off leash. My walks are usually 20-60 minutes each. I can administer medication if necessary. I can also do some grooming if necessary such as ear cleaning/nail trimming. I would not board more than 2 pets at a time, including my own dog. 
l do prioritize the safety and well-being of all pets in my care, therefore I would only accept fully vaccinated pets that are neutered/spayed. This ensures a safe environment for them and minimizes the chance of any potential conflicts. Your dog would be either able to sleep in a dog bed in there living room, or on the one in my room. Often dogs in my care tend to sleep on the floor next to my bed. I live alone with my dog Sophie. 

If you prefer for your pet to stay at home, I can drop by or live in your house during your absence, as long as you allow my dog as well. I have also had the case where I do drop in visits and walks during the day 3-5 and stay overnight to sleep. We can coordinate details together as I am very flexible due to my work from home situation. 
I work from home full-time which gives me the flexibility to coordinate my days around Sophie and the other pets in my care. My pet sitting services would not only meet the physical needs of your beloved companies, but also provide them with the love and attention they deserve. I would not leave your pet alone for more than 1-2 hours while they were under my care. look forward to meeting you and your furry friend!&nbsp;

Passionnée des animaux depuis longtemps, je peux m'occuper de vos toutous favoris pendant votre absence. J'offre des visites à domicile, marche de chiens et garde de jour ou de nuit. Mes visites à domicile seront d'au moins 30 minutes pour s'assurer du bien-être de l'animal et aussi je peux arroser les plantes et entrer le courrier. Concernant la marche de chien c'est aussi un 30 minutes au moins. Je prendrai le temps de bien habiller le chien si nécessaire pour l'hiver. Pour la garde de jour ou de nuit, cela sera selon vos besoins et ceux de l'animal. Je peux aussi administrer des médicaments à votre animal, mais j'aurai besoin de connaître votre façon de faire. J'ai présentement un dogue argentin croisé pitbull de 70 lbs de 3 ans donc je sais ce que c'est quand ça tire et! Aussi, pendant plusieurs années j'ai été une maman lapin. Je connais bien les soins à donner aux lapins, surtout en matière de nourriture. Finalement, j'ai aussi eu des chats pendant quelques années et j'ai été bénévole à Réseau Secours Animal. Je garde régulièrement une jolie chienne chinoise à crête et aussi un beau petit lapin bélier hollandais. Prendre note que je prends peu de contrats à la fois, afin de bien servir ma clientèle. Je préfère marcher un chien à la fois, afin d'apprendre à bien le connaître et le comprendre. Si vous avez 2 chiens, je peux aussi les faire marcher ensemble avec un membre de ma famille. Pour les chiens, je préfère me limiter à ceux de moins de 80 lbs pour être certaine de pouvoir être en mesure de les contrôler. Je suis disponible durant les congés fériés, les weekends et en soirée. J'offre aussi une visite de connaissance avant de commencer, afin de bien connaître votre animal. Il est important que le chien s'approche en premier de moi afin de créer une confiance avec lui. My first dog arrived when I was 9 years old. I really wanted a dog and asked my parents to adopt a pet. My mother didn't approve, explaining that a pet in the first place is a big responsibility. She explained all of the things that I would need to know in order to care for a pet like raising, caring, cleaning poop, walking three times a day every day, they can get sick, behave badly etc. She was waiting for my desire to have a dog to be free from emotion and to be based primarily on responsibility. I learned a very important lesson about relationships with pets, and later I finally got my first dog. She lived with us for about 10 years and died of cancer.
Therefore, I can honestly say that I have experience in taking care of pets since the age of 9. Since then, pets have been an integral part of my existence. These are my companions, best friends, and family members. I am equally in love with both dogs and cats, who have accompanied me since childhood. In 2019, I moved to Canada and my three pets were left in the care of my mother - a dog and two cats, which I still support. Both cats have been domesticated since they were ferrel. One of them was a newborn and was left on the street by a stray cat-mother. I fed and raised him from newborn age. Now this cat is big and beautiful and has a lot of dog habits, because from birth it was brought up by people and imitated my dog. I also adopted a 2 month old kitten who I found on the street.
At my house I have a dog and a cat. These guys came as a package with my husband.

Hi there! My name is Maya, and I live and work in NDG. I am the proud mom of a Pitbull named Tony and a cat named Blink. I am an assistant technician who works with blind animals everyday and has lots of experience with them. In my "free" time, I am on the board for an animal rescue in Cayo Coco, Cuba. I fundraiser, am I charge of adoptions, and go visit yearly to help build a bigger, safer sanctuary. I have worked with animals for the last 12 years, but have had pets my whole life and have been volunteering since I can remember. I am comfortable and have experience administering medications, and I am comfortable with animals who might not be as comfortable with strangers as we would wish. While working at the SPCA, I specialized in "aggressive" behaviour and rehabilitation. I have a calm demeanour, and am ready to take care of your pets as if they were on of my own. Unfortunately, I cannot allow other dogs into the house as Tony is quite territorial- but I am willing to walk or visit your home! I am motivated to join this app because I know the difficultly of finding someone to care for our fur babies when it's vacation time, or simply, when we need an extra hand. I also know we only want what is best for our little loves, and I promise I will give nothing but the best attention and care. Unfortunately, I cannot bring your pets home. Tony is a rescue and is not quite comfortable with strangers in the house. If it were urgent, I MAY be able to arrange something.
