My name is Kate, I`m 26 years old and I just recently came to Canada. Right now I live in Toronto, Little Portugal, which I think is great. I love dogs, and now I need an additional job, so I decided it was possible to combine what I liked with work. I don`t have an exact previous experience, but I have been to a Russian dog shelter a few times, walking and spending time with the animals, but my heart aches for them too much and I get very frustrated that I can't give all of them attention and care.&nbsp;
I have a dog named Winchester, he was rescued off the street and he is a reactive dog. To help him, we did a lot of training with a dog behaviorist, I read a lot of literature and now we have a great relationship. I adore dogs and want owners to have peace of mind when leaving a family member in someone else's care. I would go crazy if someone treated my dog badly, so I will do my best to make sure your dog is happy and content spending time with me. I have helped several dog owners build their relationship through simple exercises, I love teaching dogs tricks. I have just recently arrived in Canada and would love to meet your pets. I am willing to walk them, spend time on your property and exercise. To give you an idea of my intentions, I can provide a video of training with my dog so you can understand the exercises I'm talking about.
Availability: until March 5 - anytime, starting March 5 in the evenings.
I can offer walks with your pet (usually I walk my dog for about one or two hours so that`s what I offer) or stay with your dog at your home. I also know how to teach dogs some commands and have a mentally healthy time. I prefer walking on the off-leash dog areas or in parks. I know how to give medication orally if it`s needed.
I can offer visits to your home with additional duties (dropping off mail, cleaning up after your pet, watering plants, etc.). I can set a video to show you what we`re doing while you`re away so you don`t worry.

I've been around animals since I was 8, my first dog was a German Shepperd Husky Cross, her name was Tama.&nbsp;
We rescued her from the OSPCA at the age of 5, she was previously abused before being taken to the shelter. Ever since we brought her home I fell in love with dogs. We had a cat when we brought her home and to the day Tama passed, they were like Tom and Jerry.&nbsp;
I recently rescued and fostered a Waterdog/Wolfhound Mix, He was 4 months old when I saved him from his previous handler.&nbsp;
They didn't even name him. His name is Buddy, he was extremely underweight (25lbs) had a fever and was matted. I was caring for him for around 2 months before I found him an incredible owner, she and him get along so well, its a match made in heaven.&nbsp;
The reason I'm interested in puppy sitting is I have this burning desire to foster more puppies. It is however, very expensive to do so. I love the process, the time and commitment to training and animal, something about the connection that builds once they understand what you want from them, it drives me.&nbsp;
My parents got another puppy after Tama passed. Her name is Chili, she is an incredibly sweet Collie Husky mix, 2 years old and she was the main reason I wanted to go on the search in which I found Buddy. Recently, a vicious pitbull - kidnapped as a puppy and forced to fight in underground arenas, who hates men especially, and can't leave the house without trying to murder anything that moves - stepped gingerly up onto my lap and kissed my face. This is a day in the life for me.
When I'm in the city I have been helping my fellow traveling friends to house sit, and have been walking and doing basic training with puppies since elementary school with treats, eye contact, and modified clicker(-free) training and behavioural conditioning.
I do not use punishment as a discipline tactic.&nbsp;
I can brush and clip nails, manage special diets, and deliver medicine if necessary. If they are on a schedule, please have it in writing, and sent by email. I will take photos to show completion of time-sensitive activities/routines, and stay in touch about any changes or challenges.&nbsp;
If my availability shows as open, it means I'm in town, and I can stay for just about any length of time. You may have to check in with me for bookings over a month.&nbsp;
Your home is sacred and I will treat it as such:
Beyond personal hygiene and cleanliness, you can expect basic upkeep and homemaking (my mother taught me well), and if your pet takes homemade meals I am, in fact, a chef fantastique.
If you have a garden - either outdoor or indoor you can count on my green thumb and passion for plants to keep your blooming bébés alive and thriving.&nbsp;
You want to feel secure when leaving your pet in the care of someone, and I can offer you that security and peace of mind if my availability is open.&nbsp;

I will regularly update you on the status of your home and pet. If you receive mail or visitors you can count at least a daily update. Or, if you prefer to be left alone or more frequently updated, that can be arranged too.&nbsp;
I'm a digital nomad so my schedule is flexible.&nbsp;
I am fit, and can take your pooch for runs, I can and do play, occasionally for hours, and definitely multiple times a day. I don't have a driver's license, so you may want to keep that in mind if you have appointments more than a 1hr walk away, or if your appointment isn't TTC accessible.&nbsp;
WiFi is non negotiable, and the password must be photographed and sent to me before you leave for your trip because I work from home, and any details regarding your internet service provider should be available, in case the internet goes down for more than a couple days, or at least accessible to you so you can send me the details. I can also supervise home care/construction, and/or let workers in and out, document their work and attendance, but I need to know if there will be noise to prepare my workday.&nbsp;
Any expenses such as food, medicine, grooming, or appointments must be paid for/ purchased in advance, or funds must be available for me to purchase. Receipts will be collected, and any additional fees paid out of pocket will be documented and must be reimbursed. We love good karma! All bookings are done through the site, and I don't take tips.&nbsp;
I always keep at least a few days' buffer after our booking in case your flight or gets cancelled or your travel plans change for whatever reason and you need me to stay longer. Standard rates apply, but I will be amenable to sudden changes in plans unless otherwise noted. I prefer to have a local emergency contact in case I can't get a hold of you, as well as the contact of your vet, and any home or pet service providers you anticipate might be involved in you or your pet's life while you are gone - all in writing and sent by email.&nbsp;

I know 4 languages: Ukrainian, English, Polish and russian.
From my childhood I have a dog and a cat. The dog is a pug (now she is 14 years old). I walked with her every day and taught some base commands. I fed my pets and gave them oral medication if they needed. 
When I moved to another city I set and walked with my friends dogs: big and small. I walked with them in parks and forest.

Hi there! My name's Santiago and I'm currently working in downtown Toronto. I live with one roommate and sadly my dog lives with my parents back home, so I figured I will give Pawshake a try :)
I enjoy meeting people and their pets, and this seems like a great way to hang out with animals while helping me to find some additional work outside of my job. About myself, I graduated from university here a few years ago after moving from Colombia. My close friend, Pepe the cocker spaniel, is back there with my family. Being highly active myself, I love going for long walks and checking out new places in the city. I'm sure your dog will enjoy exploring the outdoors with me and being my exercise buddy. 
I'm also open to hosting animals in my apartment. I have quite a bit of space and a lot of natural lighting. Overnight visits are fine, as I work from home most days and can wake up early for walks. There are no other pets living in the apartment, so your pet's safety is promised. I prefer to sit only pets that are potty-trained (so if your cat can use a litter box or if your dog isn't prone to accidents, then great!) pets that are vaccinated are also preferable and if they get along with other animals (this is so that walks are safe). 
I also offer drop in visits and will make sure to timely respond to inquiries about your loved ones :) if you need any other services while you are away, for example, watering plants or doing some light clean up, I'm perfectly fine with this too. 
I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with a big living room and a balcony, with most of room for a dog to walk around. Don River Valley Park is a walk away from my house, a perfect spot to run and even meet some furry friends for any dog. I'm in Toronto year round so if we are a good fit, I'd be happy to pet sit again for you in the future!
