Fantastic Dog Care In My Own Home
Edmonton
About Kate
My pictures of my home and yard all seem to feature dogs, which isn't surprising! We have a super dog friendly home. Any dog in my care would get the same freedom as my own. We have an upstairs, which includes the kitchen, living room and our 'dog room'. The basement features anothering living room and our bedroom.
My name is Kathleen, and me and my SO, Steven, live in the lovely Highlands area of Edmonton. We own the home, and have a fully fenced yard. We're fairly active, as our own dogs are, so we go for lots of walks and adventures through the river valley. I have lots of experience with dogs, I grew up with them and have fostered multiple dogs for Calican Rescue over the 7 years we've volunteered with them.
I prefer to keep the dogs in my care smaller, 30 lbs or under generally speaking. If your dogs is a wee bit bigger, I am still open to a discussion, but due to our smaller dogs, it is usually better to keep the sizes similiar.
We have a jrt cross girl, who was rescued from Calican Rescue. She absolutely loves other dogs, but is getting on in years and isn't as playful as she once was. We have recently adopted a miniature dachshund puppy as well, and is a typical puppy. All dogs are utd on all vaccinations, spayed/neutered go for annual check up at the vet.
Dogs sleep in the bedroom with us, and depending on their own routine, I am happy to crate them or have them sleep on a dog bed in the room, or on our own bed. I do try to keep their own routine as similiar as possible to help lessen the stress they undergo when coming to a new home.
We both work 8-5 Monday to Friday, and we're home on weekends. Steven generally pops home on his lunch break to take the puppers for a walk (weather dependent) or at least let them outside for a bit. Our lives are very dog orientated.
