About Brooke
Hi I'm Brooke! I'm 26, I live in the High Park/Roncy neighbourhood, and work in TV streaming. My position is partly remote, giving me a more flexible schedule to care for your pets. My cat, Cosmic (he's the black cat in many of my photos) and I have been living in Toronto since 2018. I had adopted him as a kitten while I was a student in London, On.
Growing up I lived on a farm where I was always surrounded by animals, so if you're looking for an experienced pet sitter for your backyard cow, ducks, llamas, sheep, pigs, or chickens I'm your girl! I have lots of experience with cats and large dog breeds including larger rescues, Golden Retrievers, Huskies, German Shepherds, Greyhounds, and Rottweilers. While I’m most experienced with large dogs, I’m comfortable and happy to take care of medium and small dogs too! My favourite dogs are hounds of any kinds (but especially basset hounds). Although I am less experienced with small animals, birds, reptiles and other exotics I'm happy to learn what I need to know to give your pet the love and care they deserve.
My typical home visit will be a minimum of 30 minutes in which your pet will be fed, given fresh water, have a bathroom break/litter cleaned, and time for play and/or snuggles. My typical dog walk is 45 minutes to an hour long. For any over night visits not only will your pet have a companion and someone to meet their needs, I’ll also give any indoor and/or outdoor plants care, and ensure that your home is well taken care of until your return. While these are my typical visits, I understand all pets have different personalities and needs, and I’m happy to adjust my visits accordingly.
I'd love to be your pet sitter. Pets are part of the family. Having spent my entire life around animals of all kinds, I have a deep appreciation for the place pets hold in our lives and the many things they teach us. I know it can be upsetting and anxiety producing to be away from our pets (both for us humans, and our animals!) the core of my pet sitting is to make your time away comfortable and fun for both your pet, and you.
I spent a year working in a pet valu and the best part of the job by far was all the dog friends I made with our regular customers, unfortunately that is not one of the perks of working in broadcast. So, let all your pets know I'm looking to be their new best pal! Any other questions don’t hesitate to ask, I’m always happy to discuss yours and your pets needs :)
