I’m Dylan, a lifelong dog lover and dedicated animal rescue volunteer here in Calgary. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs through every stage of their rescue journey — from the moment they arrive frightened and unsure, through training, medical recovery, and finally into their forever homes. I’ve supported dogs with anxiety, fear of men, motion sickness, and leash reactivity, as well as confident, easygoing pups who simply need structure and affection. My approach is gentle, patient, and rooted in positive reinforcement and routine, because I’ve seen firsthand how consistency helps dogs feel safe and understood.

My wife and I both work from home full‑time, and we’re naturally homebodies, so your dog is never left alone. They receive steady companionship from two loving adults who genuinely enjoy having a dog around. Our home is quiet, multi‑level, and spacious, with a large fenced backyard perfect for play. We offer one‑dog‑at‑a‑time care, creating a calm, predictable environment where your pup can settle in without stress or competition.

Daily life here includes plenty of enrichment: fetch in the backyard, tug games, hallway play, confidence‑building exercises, and crate‑training sessions tailored to your dog’s needs. We use baby gates and a dedicated dog room when a pup needs space or decompression, and we’re comfortable caring for all sizes, puppies, reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs with medical needs (except subcutaneous fluids). My wife is especially attuned to shy or sensitive dogs — she’s gentle, loving, and the kind of person who wakes up at the slightest whimper.

I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and caring for them has always been a grounding, joyful part of my day. Volunteering at Calgary’s rescue deepened that passion, and now I’m offering that same level of thoughtful, rescue‑informed care to your dog.
