I absolutely love animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, hamsters, and guinea pigs, and I understand that every pet has its own unique personality, routine, and needs.

My journey as a dog owner began nine years ago when I welcomed my first Morkie into my family. Five years ago, he suddenly became paralyzed and required emergency spinal surgery. Helping him through his recovery taught me patience, compassion, and how to care for a pet with special medical needs. I'm happy to say he made an incredible recovery and now enjoys life with one of my daughters. I also have a second Morkie who lives with me—she's full of personality and brings so much joy to my life.

Over the past two summers, I've had the pleasure of pet sitting through TrustedHousesitters. Last summer, I cared for dogs in Arizona, and this summer I had another wonderful house- and dog-sitting experience in Vancouver. These experiences reinforced what I already knew: I truly love caring for animals while giving their owners peace of mind when they're away.

Now that I'm retired, I'm excited to dedicate more of my time to caring for pets here in Ottawa and wherever my travels take me. Whether your pet needs a daily walk, playtime, cuddles, companionship, or extra attention, I'll care for them as if they were my own.

During visits, I can:

• Feed your pet and provide fresh water
• Take your dog on a 30-minute walk—or longer, depending on their age, energy level, and needs
• Play, cuddle, and provide companionship
• Administer routine medications, if needed
• Clean litter boxes for cats
• Bring in your mail and water your plants
• Send regular photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing

I can stay for up to one hour per home visit to make sure your pet receives the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve.

When house sitting, I take both your pet's safety and your home's security seriously. I'll carefully follow your instructions, keep doors and windows securely locked, maintain your pet's normal routine, and provide updates and photos so you always know how things are going.

I'm available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and I'm happy to work with your schedule whenever possible.

I understand how important it is to trust someone with both your beloved pet and your home. You can count on me to treat each with the same respect, kindness, and care that I would my own. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is safe, happy, loved, and in caring hands.
