About Me

My relationship with cats began in my mid-twenties, during a time in life when I was learning how to be alone.

Back then, I thought I wanted a cat because I needed companionship. Life felt busy, relationships felt uncertain, and I was looking for comfort in the quiet moments at home. But as life changed, so did my understanding of what it really means to care for an animal.

Years later, after moving back to Toronto, building a life of my own, settling into my own home, creating a career and community I felt proud of — I realized I was finally ready again. This time, not because I needed a cat to fill an emotional space, but because I knew I had the time, stability, patience, and love to properly care for one.

During the pandemic, I became a foster with a local shelter, helping care for cats with different personalities, histories, and needs. My home became a temporary stop for many of them — a quiet place to decompress, heal, and slowly learn to trust again.

And somewhere in that process, I met my own little angel: Pumpkin.

Truthfully, during those pandemic years, it often felt less like Pumpkin needed me, and more like I needed him. We grew alongside each other through some of the most transformative years of my life. He watched me change jobs, move into bigger homes, rediscover joy, rebuild confidence, and slowly fall back in love with life again.

Over time, Pumpkin became far more than a pet. He became my closest companion, my emotional support, and one of the most grounding presences in my life.

That experience changed the way I think about pet care entirely. After years of successfully caring for cats, I'm now ready to extend my service to dog walking for those in my neighborhood who need it.

Animals are deeply sensitive to energy, routine, patience, and environment. They’re not simply pets to “watch over”—they’re family members with personalities, boundaries, emotions, and trust that deserve respect. 

That’s the kind of care I hope to provide through this space: gentle, attentive, home-based care that helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while their humans are away.
