Hi! I grew up in a home where we were always fortunate enough to have a dog. My wife and I have a friendly 2 year old Havapoo named Freddie that we absolutely adore and a friendly 6 year old cat named Ghost that is the best. They're the best friends. We both love cats and dogs, and animals of all kinds. We'd treat your dog as if they were our own. We have a fairly big house with lots of space and a completely fenced in and shaded backyard. When we're home we can leave the sliding door into our backyard open so your dog can come and go into the backyard as it pleases. I'd be happy to come by for daily visits to your home if that's what you're looking for instead. We would only take vaccinated dogs into our home and unfortunately cannot take another cat. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and horses my whole life. I’m trustworthy, reliable and have a genuine love for animals and I’d be happy to take care of your loved one!I currently work from home, so I have plenty of time to walk your dog or give attention to your animals. I do not have any pets, so I genuinely have a love for looking after animals as if they were my own. I have a spacious 2 bedroom apartment for your pet, and regularly walk through the Olympic Village dog park, seawall and numerous trails and parks on the daily. Your dog will be receiving the 5 star treatment as if they are staying in a hotel. It's located in a modern and spacious pet-friendly building in the downtown Vancouver core.I’m available to meet after 9 am on weekdays, up until 10pm. I will walk your dog(s) a minimum of 3 times a day for 1 hr+ if needed and can also provide them with treats (unless otherwise specified). For home visits, I'm available for either overnight stays or drop in visits for up to two hours at a time. I'm also available to water any plants and collect your packages or mail. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs that should be accounted for. I will be sure to note all of these, including dietary restrictions or medications.

My name is Andrew. I'm living with my wife Ishan and our formosan mountain dog, Mavo. I have had dogs since I was young. And Ishan and I (and Mavo) have been volunteering to foster formosans for Coogo Rescue since 2019. We also have been dog sitting/house sitting for our colleagues and friends for many years. This allowed us and Mavo to be able to understand the personalities of different breeds of dogs and and give different level of attention and space to all types of dogs.
What you can expect from me as your dog sitter:
• I'd like to arrange a meet and greet first at a park/trail near by for Mavo and us to meet your pup and discuss the need and care plan of your dog. 
• Depends on your dog's need, leashed or unleashed, we often do 2-3 long walks or park run (45mins-1hr) in different trails and parks throughout the day, Rain or Shine (pack a rain coat and towel for your pup!) 
• On the weekend, we usually meet up with our other friends with dogs and take them for an adventure walk. Our top 5 weekend adventure park/trail: Pacific Spirits, North 40, McDonald Beach, Spanish Bank, Mundy Park...and more!
• I will update you with lots of photos and videos throughout the day 
• If needed, I can administer pills &amp; creams.

I am a late twenties gal from the UK and I have been in Vancouver since 2020. I have my own little kitty, Beans, who was adopted from the SPCA last year and is the apple of my eye. Back home, I have a cat called Freckles who is 21 and she has been my best friend for nearly my whole life. 
I've always had cats, and there's nothing I love more than a good kitty snuggle! I have experience administering oral medications, cutting nails and brushing teeth (with some scars to prove it!) and have always cared for friends and family cats on a casual basis. 
I am happy to make a couple of visits to your loved ones per day, around my work schedule (8:30-4:30), and flexible on weekends. I would also be happy to take your pets for their walkies outside and play with them to keep them stimulated.
