Sometimes life can get really busy and you might find yourself a little short on time to walk your dog. Luckily with Pawshake, it is really easy to connect with thousands of pet lovers and find a walker in Sunset who is available and waiting to help you out.

All of our walkers are vetted individually and every dog walker booking is covered by The Pawshake Guarantee so you can rest easy while they spend time with your dog. Additionally, your Pawshake walker will be from your local Sunset neighbourhood and their profile also includes reviews from other pet parents.

Having a dog walker visit during the day is an affordable and great way to break up the day and make your dog’s day more interesting. Some of our walkers walk multiple dogs at once so this service is a great way for your dog to socialise and meet other similar dogs. However, if your dog prefers to be walked alone, you can also find Sunset dog walkers who only walk one dog at a time. That way, the walks can be completely dedicated to what your dogs want – whether is a slow walk-and-sniff or a faster paced brisk walk around the block, our Pawshake dog walkers will be happy to oblige.

As an avid dog lover, I grew up with a border collie (Bingo) and a golden retriever (Sunny), taking them on daily walks, taking care of them, and most enjoyably, playing frisbee with them. During the first year of COVID, I fostered a rescue dog Samantha and cared for her post spay surgery, provided daily exercise (and she needed a lot!), and trained her for 4 months until she found her furever home. Since then, I have dog-sat for and walked many pups of friends and acquaintances (see photos of my many furry friends!).
My experience means I know the importance of a good dog lifestyle and how vital it is that dogs get the exercise, attention, and affection they need to be happy. I’m looking to fill my downtime with some dog love as I’m a big fan of all types of dogs and have lots of love and energy to provide. I live downtown in Toronto on the east end and am flexible in where I can meet. I'm currently awaiting a new full time job start in September, and have a ton of open availability during the weekdays. I'm typically a morning person and would be able to care for pets between 9am and 4pm with some flexibility.
Please let me know if you have any questions, I’d be more than happy to answer and chat.

Hi! My name is Mariana, and I’m an animal lover with a big heart for pets. I grew up surrounded by animals, and back home in Colombia, I have three amazing dogs who are part of my family. Being away from them has made me realize how much love and care I can share with other furry friends while I’m here.
I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I take that responsibility very seriously. With me, your pet will receive lots of love, attention, and respect for their individual needs and routines.
The most important thing is to make the animals and their owner feel at ease knowing your best friend is happy, safe, and cared for like family.
With me, your pet will enjoy:
Genuine love and attention
Fun and safe walks
Fresh water, meals on time, and their routines respected
Photos and updates so you always know how they’re doing
I know how much peace of mind it brings to see your pet happy and well cared for, and I promise to treat yours with the same love and care I give to my own.

Hi there! My name is Kayla , and I’ve had a lifelong passion for animals of all kinds. From caring for my own pets to helping friends and family with theirs, I’ve always found joy in making sure animals feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away.

My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from the belief that pets deserve just as much comfort and attention as people do when their routine changes. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, or cuddles on the couch, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also understand how stressful it can be to leave your fur baby with someone new, which is why I prioritize trust, transparency, and communication every step of the way.

Yes, I do have experience! I’ve cared for both cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including seniors and pets with special needs. I’m also fully committed to health and safety, so I only accept vaccinated pets into my home.

If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, I’m your sitter!

Hi there! My name is Carl and I am a big fan of pets of all kinds, so I want to help you take care of yours.
I am a 30-year-old man and have lived with pets my whole life; growing up I had two dogs, two rats, and a cat, and now I have two cats of my own. Living as a renter in Vancouver, it's been hard to find a pet-friendly home that is big enough for a dog, which is a big part of why I want to help you take care of yours! I also absolutely love cats, and the more I have in my life the better.
I currently work as a metalworker on a weekend shift, which means from Monday to Thursday I have plenty of free time to take care of your pets! This means I am ideal for people who work Monday-Friday or travel for work often and need someone to help them out a bit with dog-walking and pet sitting during the week. Morning, afternoon, and evening are all fine for me; whatever helps you out the most!
Cats and dogs both tend to love me pretty quickly, and I don't think I will have any problems putting your pets at ease. I had a german sheperd and an australian sheperd growing up, so I have plenty of experience with big dogs and energetic dogs - and I love taking them for walks or hanging out with them.
My area has plenty of great places for dog walks, such as Memorial South Park, Macdonald Park, and Queen Elizabeth Park. I am also happy to come to you and walk your dog around whatever parks you have in your neighbourhood.
If that all sounds good to you, I offer the following services:

Dog Walking: I offer 30-45 minute dog walks. I will come to you, pick up your dog(s), and take them for a walk around your neighbourhood and any nearby parks before dropping them off back at home. I will not take your dog off leash unless specifically requested by the owner and only in enclosed spaces such as fenced off-leash dog areas at a park. Dog walking costs $18, with an extra $5 charge per extra dog. If you have a particularly energetic dog that needs longer than 45 minutes let me know and I am happy to work something out so I can accomodate your pet's needs.
Home Visits: I offer drop-in home visits. Depending on the pet and their needs I am happy to stay for up to 40 minutes per visit. During this time I can feed your pets, top up their water, take dogs outside to use the bathroom, administer oral medications, clean up after your pets, scoop litterboxes, take out any garbage, and do basic household maintenance like bringing in the mail and watering plants. I will send you (at least) one photo update per sitting and will absolutely take your pet to the vet if neccessary. Home visits cost $25 for one visit a day or $35 for two visits a day.
House Sitting: I offer overnight stays at your home with your pets. During this time I will do everything included in the Home Visits service while also providing 24-hour care and attention for your pets. If I have appointments that require me to leave the house during the stay I will let you know at time of booking. Overnight House Sitting costs $55 per day.

Hi, I'm Akankhya I am an experienced dog walker. I've been handling dogs since I was 6 and since then I've petted around 7-8 dogs and walked hundreds of them for my friends and family. When it comes to dogs I'm all about them I enjoy taking care of them and being around them all the time. I understand the nature of dogs in general also I feel that every dog has a different personality and needs which I can understand and cater to. I always had a dog in my house when was in my home country and I must say I pretty much miss the company, which is also a reason that I would love to spend some time with dogs, as per me this is not a job but the passion I could confidently say that I can cater to your needs and give you an excellent service.
I can't be more than happy to find that here it's something that one could do and get paid like dog walking. Even though I'm a student and a part-time worker but I can assure you that I would be able to regularly take time for your dog out of my schedule and look forward for you to avail my services. Thanks for the time to read my profile and book my services. Have a great day! :)

Hi everyone ! We’re Manaka and Alam, a couple located near by Joyce Collingwood station. Our passion for dogs brought us here, as our apartment doesn’t allow us to have one of our own. But here’s the good news: we live close to some fantastic parks frequently visited by joyful dogs, making it a perfect setting for dog-walking!

Also
	•	We have some good experiences with pets. Back in our hometowns of Guadalajara & Shizuoka, we’ve loved and cared for our own dogs: Lucky, a friendly Shiba; Mafalda, a bit of a grumpy Shih-tzu; and Draco, an adorable Labrador.
	•	We’re keen to offer our services to dogs in the nearby area since we unfortunately can’t have pets in our apartment.
	•	We’re adaptable and can take care of various dog personalities and sizes, but for a smooth experience, we prefer pups that aren’t too problematic.

Got questions or specific requests? Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to help and ensure your pup gets the best care possible.

Warm regards,
Manaka and Alam
