Sometimes life can get really busy and you might find yourself a little short on time to walk your dog. Luckily with Pawshake, it is really easy to connect with thousands of pet lovers and find a walker in Kitsilano who is available and waiting to help you out.

All of our walkers are vetted individually and every dog walker booking is covered by The Pawshake Guarantee so you can rest easy while they spend time with your dog. Additionally, your Pawshake walker will be from your local Kitsilano neighbourhood and their profile also includes reviews from other pet parents.

Having a dog walker visit during the day is an affordable and great way to break up the day and make your dog’s day more interesting. Some of our walkers walk multiple dogs at once so this service is a great way for your dog to socialise and meet other similar dogs. However, if your dog prefers to be walked alone, you can also find Kitsilano dog walkers who only walk one dog at a time. That way, the walks can be completely dedicated to what your dogs want – whether is a slow walk-and-sniff or a faster paced brisk walk around the block, our Pawshake dog walkers will be happy to oblige.

Hey there, I'm Joi and I've been an animal lover my whole life! I've had some wonderful times with fish, a parrot, a hamster and my favorite, a dog. For 14 years, I've been lucky enough to share my home with an amazing toy poodle back in South Korea. Together, we've navigated everything from puppyhood to those golden senior years.
To me, pet sitting isn't just a job – it's something I truly LOVE. I'm all about making sure every pet I look after feels safe, loved, and has a whole lot of fun. Can't wait to meet your special buddy!
I promise to treat your buddy as special and give them care that's just for them. I promise to keep you in the loop with regular updates, sharing photos and videos of your buddy's fun times with me. I promise to be there for you, answering any questions you have, so you can be at ease while your buddy is with me. I promise to ensure your buddy's safety and comfort at all times, treating them like my own family member. I promise to find out what makes your buddy happiest and ensure they get to enjoy those things.
Being an interior designer working from home, I have a flexible schedule. Please let me know if you need any more details.
This lets me fit in pet care easily every day, from walks in the morning to playtime and meal or medicine times. I enjoy spending time with pets and can handle extras like vet visits. I really love caring for pets as part of my day!
Safety, comfort, and happiness of the pets come first. I respect both the pet and their space.
I stick to your pet's normal routine to keep things familiar for them, including feeding, exercise, and rest times. I also keep your space clean.
I provide regular updates so you're always in the loop. I look after your pet as I would a younger sibling - with lots of care, attention, and love. Rest assured, they're in good hands. I absolutely love spending time with buddies - every moment is a joy!
Tailored Care: I aim to make each day as fun and fulfilling for your buddy as it is for me. The activities depend on what they enjoy and what suits them best.
Walks: I love taking our buddies for leisurely strolls around the neighborhood or in the park. This is great for those who prefer a relaxed pace.
Active Games: For our energetic buddies, I enjoy playing fetch in the park or tug-of-war at home.
Exploring Trails: I enjoy taking our adventurous buddies to explore nearby nature trails. It's always a fun adventure!
Relaxing: After a day full of activities, we wind down with some cuddles and belly rubs. Every buddy deserves some chill time

Hi!
I have always been a dog owner/lover and just recently adopted my first cat. Ever since I can remember I've been in love with dogs and want to hug and cuddle every dog in sight. I trained my own little man Ollie based completely on everything I learned during my five years of volunteer work training (and puppy raising) service puppies at PADS. During my volunteer work I took an online course with Animal Behaviour College in 2005 and became a certified dog trainer in 2006.
My little Ollie is nearly 16 now and unfortunately no longer live with him but I still love him so much and look forward to my weekly visits and cuddles. Recently I adopted my very first cat. I've become a little obsessed with my new goofy, snuggle bug and do not regret the adoption in the least bit. I do hope to one day have two dogs with my boyfriend and be able to once again live with a dog I can love, and spend time with.
Unfortunately due to past and current health issues I am only capable of taking single dogs for walks who are up to 30 lbs even though I love all sizes. I will be happy to discuss and answer any of your questions or concerns about my health issues because I know every pet owner would want someone they can trust.
As for my services, I will be offerering dog walking and dog training (with some added pets and cuddles of course.) Training and spending time with dogs has always given me so much happiness and relaxation. ️ This is my first time putting myself out there offering help to the local pet parents and I can't wait to get started!
The dog walking services will involve a 30min walk around the area. I live above the beach so could take your dog to enjoy the cool breezy air or a simple neighborhood walk. Furthermore, I could work on simple walking manners if requested for no extra charge. Walking manners would involve, eye contact when asked, and no pulling.
I will also be offering basic obedience. Basic obedience involves the usual sit, down, stay, here, leave it, and heel. We can always use different words for the commands if you prefer. For my training services I offer a fun 60mins session with the owner applying only positive reinforcement with treats, toys or affection as rewards for the correct behaviour I ask for. From experience, many dogs respond best to a specific reward. My Ollie only responded with a combination of calm affection and treatos whereas some more energetic breeds respond best to toys and play as their reward. Unlike dog walking, the basic obedience will be $30 but I'll make sure your dog will have lots of fun with both. A little heads up though, I do sound a little ridiculous whenever I'm giving praise. Let's have fun and make your little guy think training is a party and something to look forward to!
Unfortunately I will not be available on Sundays or any evening, but apart from that, I am quite flexible.
I hope to meet your dogs soon and know that I will enjoy every minute getting to know their fun and sweet personality.
Sending smiles and tummy rubs to your dog

Michelle

French will follow
Hi, I'm Victor! I'm a young professional working in Tech in Vancouver. Originally from France, I moved to Canada in 2017.
In France, I grew up on a farm surrounded by dogs. I spent most of my afternoons after school taking care of them. That included feeding them, grooming them, taking them to the Vet when needed, walking them, and of course playing with them.
Ever since I moved to Canada, I miss my dogs, therefore being a dog sitter came as an obvious choice when looking for hobbies.
I am really not doing this for money, but just to spend time with dogs. Here is what I do and when I'm available:

I can walk your dog every day (except on weekends) for 2 hours after 2:30 PM. I live in Kitsilano, so I would mostly walk your dog around Kits Beach and Jericho Beach. I am runner, so I could also go for a run with dog, if you want them to exercise.
I can do home visits for a couple for 3 hours after 2:30 PM, I can do other things while coming for home visits (water your plants or get your mail). I can telework everyday, so if you are comfortable with me working around your dog, I can spend the day at your house.

Feel free to reach out if you need more information, or have any question!
Looking forward to meeting you and your dog!
----
Bonjour!

Victor
