Sometimes life can get really busy and you might find yourself a little short on time to walk your dog. Luckily with Pawshake, it is really easy to connect with thousands of pet lovers and find a walker in Centretown who is available and waiting to help you out.

All of our walkers are vetted individually and every dog walker booking is covered by The Pawshake Guarantee so you can rest easy while they spend time with your dog. Additionally, your Pawshake walker will be from your local Centretown neighbourhood and their profile also includes reviews from other pet parents.

Having a dog walker visit during the day is an affordable and great way to break up the day and make your dog’s day more interesting. Some of our walkers walk multiple dogs at once so this service is a great way for your dog to socialise and meet other similar dogs. However, if your dog prefers to be walked alone, you can also find Centretown dog walkers who only walk one dog at a time. That way, the walks can be completely dedicated to what your dogs want – whether is a slow walk-and-sniff or a faster paced brisk walk around the block, our Pawshake dog walkers will be happy to oblige.

Hi! My name is Mariana, and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I have two cats who’ve been part of my family for over 10 years, and caring for them has taught me the true meaning of patience, love, and attention to detail.
In addition to my own pets, I’ve also cared for cats and dogs belonging to friends and family — from energetic puppies and playful kittens to calm adults and senior pets who need a little extra care.
I offer 30, 60 or 90-minute home visits to make sure your pet is well-fed, has company, playtime, and plenty of affection. I also take care of cleaning food and water bowls, litter boxes, and other pet areas to keep everything tidy and comfortable. If your furry friend enjoys walks, I can also provide safe and relaxing walks, always respecting their pace and personality.
During my visits, I can also collect your mail and make sure everything at home is in order — giving you peace of mind while you’re away.
I’m responsible, caring, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I understand how important it is to trust the person looking after your furry family member — that’s why I always send updates, photos, and videos so you can feel at ease even from afar.
I can’t wait to meet your beloved pet and give them all the love and care they deserve!

I’m Lina, a dedicated pet sitter with over 3 years of experience here in Canada, and three more years in Ukraine before that. My husband and I both share a deep love for animals, and we treat every pet that stays with us as part of our family. We’ve cared for many dogs of various breeds, ages, and temperaments, and I’m very comfortable with dog boarding, walking, and maintaining their daily routines to ensure they feel safe and happy while you’re away.

Animals have always been an important part of my life. I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs, which has given me a deep understanding of their behavior, needs, and the individual personalities that make them so special. Pet sitting is not just a job for me, it’s something I truly love.

I’m also a strong believer in clear communication. I’ll keep you updated with messages, photos, or anything you need so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands.

For everyone’s safety, we do ask that pets staying with us are:

Up to date on vaccinations
Well-socialized and non-aggressive
Free from communicable diseases

Before any stay, we also request your pet’s medical history, emergency contact, and vet clinic information to ensure we’re fully prepared to provide the best care possible.

My husband and I welcome dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. We’re excited to meet your furry family member and provide them with a loving, safe, and structured environment.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, we’re here to help!

Hello pet-owners! We are a young couple who loves dogs and have a lot of experience taking care of them. We also have taken care of cats, both in their own homes and our home. The reason we would like to do more dogsitting is because it turns out to go extremely well together with our dog. Even the more shy or dominant ones tend to lift up when being around her. She never causes any problems with other animals since she is small and rather submissive. Therefore we even see it as an advantage to take care of dogs together with our own one. Of course, in some cases this turns out to be impossible, in that case it is also possible to take care of your dog seperately (we're with two). Enough about our dog, let's say something about ourselves.Currently we work mostly from home and we expect that to stay like that the coming future. We have sufficient free time and therefore like to spend as much as possible time outside and go for walks. When inside, we enjoy the company of the animals and they can be guaranteed of fulltime attention during the whole day. We both grew up taking care of animals like cats, rabbits and mainly dogs. Especially dogs always know how to steal our hearts so dogsitting always stayed part of our lives. We have watched over very different kinds of dogs, from big labradors to small maltezers and everything in between. We like to take care of the big ones that want to run over the beach and explore the forest everyday but also won't get bored of the old ladies that prefer a small block around the corner.I think I made our love for animals quite clear, but feel free to reach out for any more questions, we're happy to answer!

I grew up with cats, dogs, fishes and hamsters so I am used to deal with many types of animals! I love them ALL.
I work from home so my schedule is pretty flexible.I could take your pet for a walk or staying at your house when you are on holiday.I can involve the pet in activities like obedience (especially for high energy pets) or just chill on the couch with older pups. I can easily match with your pet energy and make his/hers needs my top priority !I usually like to stay at home during the weekend so it could be just me, your pets and some good snuggles!

I introduce new pets slowly and carefully. In case of emergencies, I act quickly and contact the owner right away.Your pet will be treated with genuine care and affection.

I have been professionally caring for animals for three years, but I’ve been around pets my whole life. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, fish, turtles, and even farm animals. My experience spans from young puppies to senior animals, providing attentive and reliable care tailored to their needs.

Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine as a student at Algonquin College and part-time swimming coach for children. My flexible schedule allows me ample time to play, walk, and pamper pets. I prioritize engaging with them daily, ensuring they receive plenty of attention and love while maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

I provide pet care exclusively in my clients' homes, allowing me to ensure their pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. This setup enables me to stay overnight or for several days, giving the pets continuous companionship and care. I focus on maintaining their routines, whether it’s feeding, walking, or playtime, ensuring they receive plenty of love and attention while their owners are away. This approach helps reduce their stress and keeps them happy and secure.

I engage pets with fun activities like long walks, fetch games for dogs, and interactive playtime for cats. I ensure each pet enjoys personalized attention and care.

It’s important to know pets' health needs, routines, behavior, preferences, and emergency contacts ahead of time to ensure their comfort and safety during pet care services.

Available in the following areas: Riverside South, Glebe, Downtown, Nepean, near Algonquin College.

I've been hopelessly obsessed with animals my whole life! I've never lived without dogs or cats, and never would!I offer dog walking and regular check-ins with dogs and other animals! I'll happily spend time cuddling and entertaining them on visits that can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your needs and our agreement. My availability is open in the daytime and most early evenings, other than Tuesdays and Thursdays. Weekends are open but subject to changes every once in a while! For close to a year I was an associate manager and pet care specialist at the PetSmart Petshotel. There I took all of my love and personal experience with dogs and cats and added industry training in things like behaviour assessment, lead training, comforting dogs in new environments, minor grooming, and more. The biggest thing I took away from that job was learning how to earn the trust of certain dogs that were particularly standoffish, or dogs that had a hard time trusting men because of traumatic pasts. I had amazing and affirming personal successes with dogs that tended to not trust any men besides me. A black lab named Lola and a mini poodle named Pearl were my biggest successes. I adored them both and, in the end, we were inseparable!I've dog sat and dog walked for friends, family, colleagues, and distant connections my whole life. I love spending time with animals, and now that I work in my actual field (communications) I don't get to see them in droves day in and day out the way I use to. And I miss them! My baby is an 12-year-old calico named Dany (short for Daenerys). I rescued her 8 years ago and I am hopelessly in love with the fluffy, chatty little nugget. Her favourite show is Pingu! I'm pleased to offer home visits to care for, play with, and walk your pets. My Dany takes a lot of time to warm up to animals, so I won't be offering any boarding for now. For walks, I'll heavily prefer one dog at a time. It's always much safer and secure to focus my attention on keeping one dog safe and ensuring they have the most fun and exercise! I'm happy to meet beforehand and discuss specifics and let your pets sniff me up and see if I pass their test!
