For nearly two decades, my passion for animal rights has driven my work with various organizations, culminating in the establishment of my own animal shelter in Bangladesh. At the shelter, I've dedicated myself to rescuing, treating, and nurturing dogs and cats, finding solace and inspiration in their presence—it's akin to meditation, offering me profound peace and strength.
In addition to my advocacy work, I've honed my skills in basic veterinary care, specializing in administering injections and medications, and excelling as a pet groomer. With five dogs of my own back home, I've personally raised 19 dogs since childhood, instilling in me a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors.
My commitment extends beyond borders—all pets, regardless of species or vaccination status, are warmly welcomed into my care. From cats to dogs, birds to reptiles, my home is open to providing love and support to animals in need, ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve.&nbsp;Service:1) Dog walking2) Dog/cat sitting at their home.3 Overnight or Daytime dog/cat sitting at their home.4) Primary treatment (e.g. medicine feeding, ointment applying)


My motivation to become a pet sitter is deeply rooted in my genuine love for animals, particularly dogs. As a PhD student at the University of Waterloo, I've found that caring for pets complements my academic pursuits by providing a fulfilling and enjoyable way to spend my time outside of studies.&nbsp;Having had the joy of raising a Beagle and a Collie in the past, I gained valuable experience in understanding their needs, behavior, and the responsibilities associated with pet care. From daily walks to playful interactions and providing them with companionship, I developed a strong bond with my dogs that enriched my life tremendously.Although I haven't adopted another dog since my Collie passed away, my affection for dogs has never waned. I continue to seek opportunities to engage with dogs, whether through caring for the pets of friends and relatives or volunteering at animal shelters. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to ensuring the well-being and happiness of animals in my care as a pet sitter. I approach pet sitting with responsibility, empathy, and the dedication to provide the same love and attention that I gave to my own beloved pets.

My name is Jillian.
I love to channel my extra energy into caring for your beloved furry friends. I have a 6-year-old black Labrador and so I know how difficult it can be to be away from them and the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are in safe hands.
I have previously spent time working at an urban wildlife centre looking after various species including a variety of birds, turtles, opossums, and squirrels. I have also had international experience caring for rescue dogs. So, I am experienced in a wide spectrum of animal care. That being said, my greatest joy comes from caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities! I am quite experienced with high energy dogs and love taking them for long walks so that they can rest comfortably at home.
I offer walking and pet sitting services, which include home visits and house sitting. I also provide a flexible cancellation policy. I believe you know best what your animal needs and I am happy to cater to what that may be. I ask that all dogs have updated shots.
