My name is Kate, and I have over 20 years of experience in caring for big and small dogs including, 120lbs Newfoundlands, Labradors, dalmatians, poodles and terriers. I'm also a calm and responsible Special Education Teacher who will treat your furry companion with the utmost care and respect they deserve.
Growing up, my home was always full of rescue animals: dogs, birds, hamsters, a rabbit, a guinea pig, and fish. For me, these animals were not just pets, they were family members. Therefore, I truely understand just how important your companion is to you, and you can trust that they will be in good hands.&nbsp;
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and running, so I would be honoured to take your special companion on a stroll (or run at their pace, if requested) to their favourite park or familar walking route. For those with larger dogs, I'm 5'8" and fit, so your dog will also be in strong hands. 
I’m also available to make home visits, and I’m comfortable administering medications and caring for animals who are unwell, injured or older. If you would like a home visit, I will also treat your home with the utmost care and respect. The only homes I am unable to visit are ones with cats due to allergies (Sorry!)
Why am I interested in pet sitting? Well, my main motivation is simply to have some animal company in my life again as my current home does not permit pets. (And yes, unfortunately, because of this, I am not able to board any pets at this point in time.)

I've been fortunate to have been surrounded by pets most of my life — we always had cats and dogs growing up, and I was thankful to have been loved by the bestest and most wonderful French Bulldog in my adult life. Sadly, he passed away a few years ago, and I now live in a rental building with a strict no-pet policy. I can't help but greet every dog I encounter on the street, and have developed a deep desire to have pets in my life again - which is what led me here!
I live steps from the seawall and like to stay active. I love any excuse to get out especially if there is a doggo involved. Would love an opportunity for some longer walks or even hikes if you are interested in this for your dog.

Hi there! My name is Carl and I am a big fan of pets of all kinds, so I want to help you take care of yours.&nbsp;
I am a 30-year-old man and have lived with pets my whole life; growing up I had two dogs, two rats, and a cat, and now I have two cats of my own. Living as a renter in Vancouver, it's been hard to find a pet-friendly home that is big enough for a dog, which is a big part of why I want to help you take care of yours! I also absolutely love cats, and the more I have in my life the better.
I currently work as a metalworker on a weekend shift, which means from Monday to Thursday I have plenty of free time to take care of your pets! This means I am ideal for people who work Monday-Friday or travel for work often and need someone to help them out a bit with dog-walking and pet sitting during the week. Morning, afternoon, and evening are all fine for me; whatever helps you out the most!
Cats and dogs both tend to love me pretty quickly, and I don't think I will have any problems putting your pets at ease. I had a german sheperd and an australian sheperd growing up, so I have plenty of experience with big dogs and energetic dogs - and I love taking them for walks or hanging out with them.
My area has plenty of great places for dog walks, such as Memorial South Park, Macdonald Park, and Queen Elizabeth Park. I am also happy to come to you and walk your dog around whatever parks you have in your neighbourhood.
If that all sounds good to you, I offer the following services:

Dog Walking: I offer 30-45 minute dog walks. I will come to you, pick up your dog(s), and take them for a walk around your neighbourhood and any nearby parks before dropping them off back at home. I will not take your dog off leash unless specifically requested by the owner and only in enclosed spaces such as fenced off-leash dog areas at a park. Dog walking costs $18, with an extra $5 charge per extra dog. If you have a particularly energetic dog that needs longer than 45 minutes let me know and I am happy to work something out so I can accomodate your pet's needs.
Home Visits: I offer drop-in home visits. Depending on the pet and their needs I am happy to stay for up to 40 minutes per visit. During this time I can feed your pets, top up their water, take dogs outside to use the bathroom, administer oral medications, clean up after your pets, scoop litterboxes, take out any garbage, and do basic household maintenance like bringing in the mail and watering plants. I will send you (at least) one photo update per sitting and will absolutely take your pet to the vet if neccessary. Home visits cost $25 for one visit a day or $35 for two visits a day.
House Sitting: I offer overnight stays at your home with your pets. During this time I will do everything included in the Home Visits service while also providing 24-hour care and attention for your pets. If I have appointments that require me to leave the house during the stay I will let you know at time of booking. Overnight House Sitting costs $55 per day.

Hi, I'm Victor! I'm a young professional working in Tech in Vancouver. Originally from France, I moved to Canada in 2017.&nbsp;
In France, I grew up on a farm surrounded by dogs. I spent most of my afternoons after school taking care of them. That included feeding them, grooming them, taking them to the Vet when needed, walking them, and of course playing with them.
Ever since I moved to Canada, I miss my dogs, therefore being a dog sitter came as an obvious choice when looking for hobbies.&nbsp;
I am really not doing this for money, but just to spend time with dogs. Here is what I do and when I'm available:

I can walk your dog every day (except on weekends) for 2 hours after 2:30 PM. I live in Kitsilano, so I would mostly walk your dog around Kits Beach and Jericho Beach. I am runner, so I could also go for a run with dog, if you want them to exercise.
I can do home visits for a couple for 3 hours after 2:30 PM, I can do other things while coming for home visits (water your plants or get your mail). I can telework everyday, so if you are comfortable with me working around your dog, I can spend the day at your house.

En France, j'ai grandit dans une ferme, entouré de chiens. En rentrant de l'école je passais toutes mes après-midi à m'occuper d'eux. J'entends par là les nourrir, les nettoyer, les emmener chez le vétérinaire quand nécessaire, les promener, et bien évidemment passer des heures à jouer avec eux.&nbsp;
M'occuper de chiens me manque énormément depuis que je vis ici. Devenir dog sitter s'est donc révélé être un choix naturel.&nbsp;
Je ne veux vraiment pas faire cette activité pour l'argent, mais juste pour passer un peu de temps avec des chiens. Voici ce que je fais, et quand je suis disponible:

Je peux promener votre chien tous les jours (sauf la fin de semaine) à partir de 2:30 PM pendant 2 heures. Je vis à Kitsilano, donc je promènerai votre chien vers Kits Beach et Jericho Beach. Je suis également un coureur, donc je peux aussi emmener votre chien faire un peu d'exercice.
Je peux faire des visites à la maison pour une duree de 3 heures a partir de 2:30 PM. Pendant ces visites, je peux egalament arroser vos plantes et aller chercher votre courrier. Je peux teletravailler tous les jours, donc si vous êtes confortable a l'idée que je travaille en présence de votre chien, je peux rester la journée au complet.
