My family and I have always had cats. The cat I grew up with was more of a sibling than a pet, and my current cats are my children. I've had many a cat friend (and occasionally got along with them better than with their humans!), and in social situations, I dedicate as long to my friends' pets as I do to my friends themselves. I've trained my cats to do tricks, walk on a leash, and I brush their teeth daily.

Please make sure to let me know ahead of time if your cats have any preference, special needs, or particular behaviours that I should be aware of; I should be able to accommodate most of these. For instance, I can mix different types of food, adding some water to their food, heating it when it comes out of the fridge, adding supplements/medicine, etc. In some cases, I may also be able to trim claws, clean ears, and the like, if your cat is particularly friendly, too! I have experience administering medicine (pills, liquid medicine injected orally, inhaler, etc.).


I have adored all animals since I was a kid, growing up on a farm I cared for horses, cows, Chickens, pigs, goats and many dogs. As I got older the connection I felt to animals grew stronger and I found myself dreaming about caring for them on a regular basis.&nbsp;In 2018 I worked with Rescue Paws Thailand for 7 months to help control the population of stray dogs, I couldn't be more grateful for this experience as this is where I met my bestfriend Chazzy, (my dog) who is a special part of our family now.Today I have 2 animals of my own, a doggo and bunny. I have experience working in a professional daycare environment, as well as home-based which is what I offer full-time. I have 22 Years experience working and loving animals of all breeds, I believe animals are family, and I intend to treat yours just like my own.I am home full time mon-friday, with the acception of leaving the house for 1-2 hours Max and I can board on weekends if we discuss ahead of time.I do not allow any animals during their phase of heat I'm sorry.I offer a cozy sleeping area for all guests filled with blankets and soft beds, although some may choose to sleep where they want.Bathroom breaks ( and play time ) will happen in my large fenced in yard where there will be puppy pool pawties in the summer as well. I offer mental stimulation with games and tunnels, and physical stimulation with daily walks and special adventures to the park.I offer Bath &amp; Brushes, nail trims, playdates, and more!I can have 4 guests here at all times not including my own pets, and walks will be offered depended on availability.&nbsp;I live with my fiance and our fur babies. My fiance works outside the house full-time but also helps me with animal care on weekends

I'm Diane, and basically I would love to have a cat but never could : too many life changes, and living in buildings where it was never allowed kept me from this project.  I have a really good instinct with animals in general and took care of the cats in my family : we had 2 ! Lois and Eva for 10 years but I sadly left them in south of France where I come from. Miss them a lot...  Please, note that I only do cats and eventually small other pets like rabbits, chinchillas, or hamster. 
My favorites games with them : pickaboo, chase me chase you. I have a lot of love to give to animals, and my dream would be to have my own place and to do cat yoga workshops!!

I live in Mission district so I can easily come to visit your cat at your place as long as it is accessible by walk or by bus. I don't have any car for now, so I can only do cat sitting in downtown...
I am available everyday in the afternoon. 
I offer home visits, where I can stay between 30min up to 1 hour, administer them medications, do some grooming if you have the brush. I will also give them energetic healing for free! (Yes I have been trained) I just love them too much and want the best for them!

Living in Calgary for work is a great adventure, but coming home to a quiet house is what I find the hardest. I truly miss the energy, the personality, and the bond you only get with a dog.
Having raised three Setters from pups to seniors, I’m very comfortable with the 'real' side of dog care. I know how to handle high-energy breeds, dogs who follow their nose, or those who just need a patient friend. I am also a runner and would be more than happy to go for a run with your dog if they need to burn off extra energy!&nbsp;

Having managed senior dogs, I am experienced in administering oral medications and strictly following medical or dietary routines. In case of an emergency, I am quick to react, highly organized, and will immediately contact you and your preferred vet while ensuring the dog stays calm.&nbsp;
House-Sitting &amp; Extra Care: My current apartment is a bit too small to host dogs comfortably, but I am more than happy to do house-sitting at your place! As a 'French touch', if you’re okay with it, I can even prepare a typical French "Petit Pot-au-Feu" for your dog (a healthy slow-cooked mix of lean meat and carrots) to make them feel extra loved while you're away.I’ll treat your dog with the same care and love I gave my own family dogs back home. We both enjoy being outdoors, going hiking, and spending time in nature — and sharing these experiences with a dog makes it even more enjoyable for us. During our time here we are very flexible and would be absolutely happy to spend time with a dog, going for walks, playing, and simply enjoying great moments together.
We are originally from Germany, where we already enjoyed taking care of dogs. Here in Canada, we have also gained experience through several weeks of housesitting with dogs. I have experience volunteering at pawsitive match. A pet shelter. I work in the cats only, cleaning condos, litter, dishes, feeding and changing water bowls, etc. The cats at the shelter are shy, spicy, friendly, affectionate, an escapee, etc! I also used to foster cats and have two of my own so I understand how to work with cats. So I have worked with 4 cats in one home and don't have a maximum amount of how many cats I can cat sit.
I've cat-sat at a couple houses already. Mostly in the same area but I am perfectly fine with driving maximum 40 minutes away from where I live.
My schedule is a little challenging with being in second year of university but I'm always available in Calgary over winter break and most of summer.
I have experience with giving cats medication, mostly in pills, ear or eye drops, and syringes.

I've been loving animals since I can remember. Growing up, I was the go-to around the neighborhood for friends and loved ones who needed their pets looked after, and that's only continued into my adulthood. I have taken care of the furry friends of friends and strangers alike (cats, dogs, fish, salamanders), and my longest live-in sitting job was for a week and a half (for two high-energy schnauzer-doodle mixes).
I am a student at MRU, and the vast majority of my day is open for house visits or walks. I am available in the mornings, afternoons, evenings - essentially just whenever you need someone to pop in. I'm also available for overnight care on nights that I am not working at my library job. My husband takes care of the house and our cats whenever I'm watching pets overnight, so all is taken care of on that front.
I currently have two cats of my own - Seth and Astrid - and they are the lights of my life. I've also owned Guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, and geckos, so I'm well versed in the care of small animals. I have experience with disabled animals (one of my cats is deaf, so I understand alternative methods of communication with animals), and experience with behavioural issues or difficult personalities (my other cat has extreme anxiety around people, so we have had to adapt our lives in order to help her be comfortable.) I also have experience walking reactive dogs, though I would prefer not to unless I understand their personalities and triggers better.

Howdy! My name is Vanessa, I moved to Calgary in May 2022. I love the mountains, road trips, camping&nbsp; and outdoor activies. I live in Bankview with my boyfriend and our senior citizen dog. Her name is Lili, she's a 14 years old chihuahua-daschund. I have always loved animals and have had a few growing up, cats, hamster, rabbit and dogs.
Me and my boyfriend started cat sitting our neighbor's adorable 3 cats. We loved going there to feed them, play with them, hangout for a bit and clean their litter boxes. She moved away and we miss hanging out with the cats and taking care of them! That's why I decided to become a pet sitter with Pawshake.
