Hello! I'm Sam, and have been professionally pet/house sitting since 2023. I have been a foster volunteer with Zoe's Animal Rescue since 2019. I currently have one foster cat. Because he requires medication twice a day, I will need to return home twice a day.

I've owned dogs and cats for most of my life. Over the years, I've read several books regarding training and behavioral issues, and applied methods with great success. I believe in working from a place of understanding life through a pet's eyes and experience.

Being a foster with Zoe's has given me hands-on experience, such as administering injections and monitoring blood sugar levels. I believe in sensitivity and compassion for whatever your animal might be working with, whether it be chronic pain or separation anxiety. Having your people away can be stressful! I aim to keep things as regular and peaceful as possible.

I'm a freelancer, which gives me greater flexibility in my schedule. As I mentioned, I am currently fostering a cat, so I'm unable to offer boarding. I'm a big believer in the benefit to an animal's stress levels by not having to leave their normal living space, so I'm more than happy to come to you.

A usual visit will include playtime, cuddle time, and a walk, if requested. If your cat doesn't have a favorite toy yet, I have an arsenal I can bring along! Dog walk lengths are determined by you. Generally, walks are 20-30 minutes in duration, depending on weather. Walks in your neighborhood can be up to 60 minutes in length. As I do not drive, I am unable to bring dogs to parks.

I'm more than happy to share updates on your pet at least once a day. I usually send candid photos as special moments pop up, but the overall frequency is up to you.
