Hello my name is Alison, I am 24, born and raised in Yellowknife, NWT. I have lived with dogs, cats, fish, birds and repiles for a large portion of my life. I currently run a small business, called Northern Specials, where I sell pet supplies with a portion of the proceeds going towards animal welfare organizations across the north. At the moment I do not have a full time job/career, however if I am working I can supply an early morning walk, lunch walk, afternoon walk and night walks.

I have expeirecne with shelter animals, working for 1.5 years at the local shelter. Tasks included: cleaning, feeding, walking, socializing, training, and administering medication.

I have continued volunteering at the rescue, training the bite risk dogs, and aggressive/reactive dog. I have worked with the dog and human reactive dogs to where their behaviours are managable and are able to ignore a trigger a few feet away, and in some cases being able to interact with the trigger.

While at the shelter I grew bonds with several adopted dogs, and I would like to continue offering my services to the adopted dogs, especially those who came in nervous or selectively reactive.

I have several years of house sitting/pet sitting/dog walking experience. I am comfotable looking after 1 pet or numerous pets of all shapes and sizes. I am common with many sizes, breed and behaviours> reactive, feral, nervous, high energy.

I am a respectable housesitter, quiet, nonsmoker and nonpartier. I am clean and I tidy up once the timeline is near the end. I can water plants, take out the trash, and do whatever else is asked of me. I am comfortable with any animals, previously I have looked after dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds and farm life.

When pet sitting or dog walking I like to follow the routines set by pet owners, including any training plans, and feeding or walk scheldues. I can offer short walk, long walks, hikes, and runs ranging from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

I like to create a fear free environment so I will never push a pet out of their comfort zone or interact with pets inappopriatly.
