Pet care experience

I have nine (9) years of experience as a pet sitter (cats, dogs, reptiles) and dog walker. I can be a calming, grounding presence for nervous animals, as well as an enthusiastic, playful presence for the ones who have lots of energy to burn! I know that every animal, like every human, has different needs and I consider myself to be very attentive to them.

I probably love cuddling, playing, and going for walks just as much as your pet does (oops). I have some experience with positive-reinforcement training and I'm always looking to expand on my knowledge. I have an MA in Educational Psychology and work as a coach with children and young adults while I'm not pet sitting :) 

Safety, trust & environment

It's really important for me that I maintain your pet's routine while you're away, especially if I'm sitting with them overnight. If your cat or dog eats meals at 8 AM and 5 PM, that is when I'll want to feed them as well. If they're used to snuggles before bed time, I'll be the big or little spoon! I want to give them minimal disruptions and the most stability, especially if they have some separation anxiety or are sensitive to change.

I'll want to know about their temperament, daily routine, how they communicate their needs, possible reactivity, and any notable experiences with past sitters, humans, or other animals.

A typical day

I love to cuddle, play, take dogs for long walks wherever they love going, and reward them for being good, however you spoil them! I really want to keep things consistent so that whatever you've tried to teach them is reinforced with me. Dog parks are only an option for me if you can confirm that your dog plays appropriately and is used to the park and the dogs in it.
