Hello! My name is Alice, and I am a caring, responsible, and patient animal lover who truly enjoys spending time with pets and making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I am currently a Grade 12 student at Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School, and I have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently raise a fluffy poodle named Dumpling and a cat named Simba, and taking care of them has taught me how important routine, affection, patience, and attention are for every pet’s well-being.

Ever since I was young, I dreamed of having a dog of my own, and when I first met Dumpling, I immediately felt a special connection with her. Over time, I discovered how much I enjoy walking dogs, playing with them, and understanding their different personalities and behaviours. There is one more impressive thing about me, and Dumpling is that we share the same personality! One fun fact about me is that I have magic for animals to approach me when I’m outside, and I love building bonds with them!

My motivation for becoming a pet sitter comes from my true love for animals and the happiness I feel while caring for them. I have experience helping friends and family members care for their different breeds of pets, including walking, feeding, playing, and keeping them company while their owners are busy. I am comfortable handling both energetic and calm pets, and I always adapt to each pet’s personality and comfort level. For the more energetic pets, I would go on a higher speed walking for more kilometres. I usually provide walks between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the dog’s needs and energy level, and I can comfortably handle up to two small or medium-sized dogs at once. During walks, I prioritize safety by avoiding crowded or unsafe areas, keeping pets securely leashed, monitoring their behaviour closely, asking pet owners' permission for dog parks and ensuring they stay hydrated and comfortable. I would usually bring water bottles and plates for the dogs to drink water if they feel thirsty or after exercise.

During drop-in visits, I can help with feeding, fresh water, playtime, companionship, and basic care routines. I also understand how important communication is for pet owners, so I am happy to provide regular updates, photos and videos during walks or visits to help owners feel reassured. If a pet ever appears stressed, uncomfortable, or unwell, I stay calm, carefully assess the situation, and contact the owner immediately if needed. I am currently available after school at around 3:30 PM on weekdays and all day free on weekends for walks and pet visits. At the moment, I do not accept pets into my home, but I would love the opportunity to care for your pets and make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you are away!
