Luckily, with Pawshake, you can easily find local and trusted pet and dog carers from South Vancouver to provide drop in visits and other services. This means a pet sitter will come and visit your pet at a time you both agree on and provide lots of love and personal attention. This can include playtime in the backyard, a walk to the local park, or just some cuddle time. Our pet carers can also administer medication, give food, and refresh the water bowl.

In home pet sitting services are a great way to break up the day and enrich it for your pet. Pawshake pet sitters have extensive experience caring for a range of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and more. If you have multiple pets, home visits are a great option to ensure that they all get a visit and lots of attention during the day.

Drop in visits are the least stressful option for your pet because your pet can stay in their favourite environment – their own home in South Vancouver. Their surroundings will be familiar and our loving and passionate Pawshake sitter will spoil them each day. Our sitters will treat your home with respect and are flexible with timing, requests and durations. All this can be discussed before you make a home visit booking.

Pet boarding is a great option for when you are away for a few days and your pet needs overnight care. Unlike pet hotels, Pawshake pet boarding allows you to arrange a personalised daily routine for your pet, whether this be extra belly rubs, playtime or 24 hour supervision. Your pet will stay with the pet sitter in a cosy home environment, rather than a large, impersonal pet hotel.

So whether you need just one day, a week or even a month, you’ll be able to find an experienced pet or dog carer to accommodate you and your pet’s needs in South Vancouver. The best part is that your Pawshake pet sitter is from your local neighbourhood, so they will be familiar with the area.

Our pet carers also have a range of experiences which include puppies, seniors, nervous pets and dog training. So if your pet has special requirements, you’ll be sure to find a pet sitter that is a good match for you.

Your pet’s safety and welfare is a big priority for us, which is why all of our Pawshake pet sitters undergo a strict vetting process by our trust and safety team. At Pawshake, we understand that you might feel a little uneasy allowing a pet sitter to enter your home or arranging pet boarding at their place. This is why Pawshake pet sitters also have reviews from other pet parents that are publicly available on their profile for you to read.

Each pet sitting home visit and pet boarding booking made through Pawshake is covered by the Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer support 7 days a week and more. Rest easy knowing that your pets will be well looked after by one of our expert pet carers in South Vancouver.

New to this site, but not to caring for pets! I am an Established Dog Walker, Pet and Home Sitter! I have been pet/house sitting and dog walking for years, and have met and cared for hundreds of beautiful dogs, cats, birds, bunnies and even reptiles; loving each of them as if they were my own. I have Animal First Aid and Pet/Home Insurance so you can feel confident your pet, and home!, are in the best of hands with a qualified care giver. ProFur Insurance & Walks and Wags Pet First Aid.
*Dog walking is always one on one (or 2 if you have more than one dog!), as I believe developing trust, having fun and mentally stimulating walks, to be paramount for their well-being.This is best done when full attention can be given to the dog! My doggy walks are in the Forest, at the Beach, or local Park for some ball play, whichever you prefer! I do like to give variety to each dog so they are excited to see me and head out on their next adventure. *Please note! Most of my doggy walks are 60-90 minutes long, but I am available for 30 minutes to 120 minutes!
*Pet and House sitting is above and beyond what you will be expecting! I am old fashion in my "go above and beyond" policy, and believe that it's the little things that make a huge difference.

I keep the same routine that your beloved pets are accustomed to, walks, feeding, snuggles and all.
I have a 'leave no trace' motto, all bedding, towels, kitchen, bathroom will be washed/cleaned and put back the way it was.
Respect and Privacy are paramount. I keep to the essential rooms, and value your privacy and home as I would expect someone to do for me.
A special 'thank you' gift is always left for you for when you arrive home.
**All doggy walks and pet/house sitting include daily videos and a recap of your pets adventures!
**I only do pet sitting in your home, I prefer to keep the animals routine and have found they are much less stressed in their own environment

I have Animal First Aid and Pet/Home Insurance so you can feel confident your pet, and home!, are in the best of hands with a qualified care giver. ProFur Insurance & Walks and Wags Pet First Aid.

I’m a genuine dog lover who truly enjoys spending time with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I love giving dogs fun, engaging walks that allow them to explore, exercise, and feel happy and relaxed. I understand that every dog is different, so I always pay close attention to their energy level, behavior, and comfort to make sure each walk is enjoyable and safe.
I’m punctual, patient, and reliable. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or calm and senior, I adjust my walking pace and routine to suit their needs. I’m always attentive to leash manners, surroundings, and weather conditions, ensuring your dog’s safety at all times.
I also believe communication with pet parents is important, so I’m happy to provide updates after walks.
My goal is to make sure your dog feels cared for, stimulated, and loved, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.

I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, so caring for animals feels very natural to me. I’m motivated to be a pet sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for when their owners are away. I understand how important trust is when it comes to your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously.
Growing up with pets has taught me how to handle different personalities and situations. With shy or anxious pets, I’m patient and gentle, giving them space and time to warm up at their own pace. For energetic pets, I focus on structured walks, playtime, and positive interaction to help them release energy in a healthy way.
During dog walks, I pay close attention to safety, pace, and your dog’s comfort, making sure they get both exercise and enjoyment. For home visits, I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, playtime, litter box cleaning, and basic check-ins on their behavior and well-being.
I currently offer pet visits and dog walking in Richmond and Vancouver. For health and safety reasons, I only work with vaccinated pets.

I've had dogs for most of my life. The dogs I have experience with are medium/big dogs --Alaskan Malamute, Golden Retrievers, Huskies. I've realized that the reason they bring me so much joy is because it doesn't take much to keep them happy. Just being able to go outside or spend time with the people they care about is enough. Seeing them happy makes me happy, and helps to relieve stress.
I currently do not have the space for my own pet, so would love to help take care of yours which will be a win-win situation for me and your pets! I find that generally, most pets warm up to me really quickly and we can definitely do a meet and greet to see how things go.
My availability varies depending on the proximity of your place and my time schedule. Usually walks could be in the mornings, afternoons or evenings from Fri-Mon. Please feel free to message me and I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there! My name is Carl and I am a big fan of pets of all kinds, so I want to help you take care of yours.
I am a 30-year-old man and have lived with pets my whole life; growing up I had two dogs, two rats, and a cat, and now I have two cats of my own. Living as a renter in Vancouver, it's been hard to find a pet-friendly home that is big enough for a dog, which is a big part of why I want to help you take care of yours! I also absolutely love cats, and the more I have in my life the better.
I currently work as a metalworker on a weekend shift, which means from Monday to Thursday I have plenty of free time to take care of your pets! This means I am ideal for people who work Monday-Friday or travel for work often and need someone to help them out a bit with dog-walking and pet sitting during the week. Morning, afternoon, and evening are all fine for me; whatever helps you out the most!
Cats and dogs both tend to love me pretty quickly, and I don't think I will have any problems putting your pets at ease. I had a german sheperd and an australian sheperd growing up, so I have plenty of experience with big dogs and energetic dogs - and I love taking them for walks or hanging out with them.
My area has plenty of great places for dog walks, such as Memorial South Park, Macdonald Park, and Queen Elizabeth Park. I am also happy to come to you and walk your dog around whatever parks you have in your neighbourhood.
If that all sounds good to you, I offer the following services:

Dog Walking: I offer 30-45 minute dog walks. I will come to you, pick up your dog(s), and take them for a walk around your neighbourhood and any nearby parks before dropping them off back at home. I will not take your dog off leash unless specifically requested by the owner and only in enclosed spaces such as fenced off-leash dog areas at a park. Dog walking costs $18, with an extra $5 charge per extra dog. If you have a particularly energetic dog that needs longer than 45 minutes let me know and I am happy to work something out so I can accomodate your pet's needs.
Home Visits: I offer drop-in home visits. Depending on the pet and their needs I am happy to stay for up to 40 minutes per visit. During this time I can feed your pets, top up their water, take dogs outside to use the bathroom, administer oral medications, clean up after your pets, scoop litterboxes, take out any garbage, and do basic household maintenance like bringing in the mail and watering plants. I will send you (at least) one photo update per sitting and will absolutely take your pet to the vet if neccessary. Home visits cost $25 for one visit a day or $35 for two visits a day.
House Sitting: I offer overnight stays at your home with your pets. During this time I will do everything included in the Home Visits service while also providing 24-hour care and attention for your pets. If I have appointments that require me to leave the house during the stay I will let you know at time of booking. Overnight House Sitting costs $55 per day.
