*Dog walking is always one on one (or 2 if you have more than one dog!), as I believe developing trust, having fun and mentally stimulating walks, to be paramount for their well-being.This is best done when full attention can be given to the dog! My doggy walks are in the Forest, at the Beach, or local Park for some ball play, whichever you prefer! I do like to give variety to each dog so they are excited to see me and head out on their next adventure. *Please note! Most of my doggy walks are 60-90 minutes long, but I am available for 30 minutes to 120 minutes!&nbsp;
*Pet and House sitting is above and beyond what you will be expecting! I am old fashion in my "go above and beyond" policy, and believe that it's the little things that make a huge difference.

I've had dogs for most of my life. The dogs I have experience with are medium/big dogs --Alaskan Malamute, Golden Retrievers, Huskies. I've realized that the reason they bring me so much joy is because it doesn't take much to keep them happy. Just being able to go outside or spend time with the people they care about is enough. Seeing them happy makes me happy, and helps to relieve stress.
I currently do not have the space for my own pet, so would love to help take care of yours which will be a win-win situation for me and your pets! I find that generally, most pets warm up to me really quickly and we can definitely do a meet and greet to see how things go.

Growing up, my home was always full of rescue animals: dogs, birds, hamsters, a rabbit, a guinea pig, and fish. For me, these animals were not just pets, they were family members. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and running, so I would be honoured to take your special companion on a stroll (or run at their pace, if requested) to their favourite park or familar walking route. For those with larger dogs, I'm 5'8" and fit, so your dog will also be in strong hands. 
I’m also available to make home visits, and I’m comfortable administering medications and caring for animals who are unwell, injured or older. If you would like a home visit, I will also treat your home with the utmost care and respect. The only homes I am unable to visit are ones with cats due to allergies (Sorry!)
Why am I interested in pet sitting? Well, my main motivation is simply to have some animal company in my life again as my current home does not permit pets. (And yes, unfortunately, because of this, I am not able to board any pets at this point in time.)

Hi there! My name is Carl and I am a big fan of pets of all kinds, so I want to help you take care of yours.&nbsp;
I am a 30-year-old man and have lived with pets my whole life; growing up I had two dogs, two rats, and a cat, and now I have two cats of my own. Living as a renter in Vancouver, it's been hard to find a pet-friendly home that is big enough for a dog, which is a big part of why I want to help you take care of yours! I also absolutely love cats, and the more I have in my life the better.
I currently work as a metalworker on a weekend shift, which means from Monday to Thursday I have plenty of free time to take care of your pets! This means I am ideal for people who work Monday-Friday or travel for work often and need someone to help them out a bit with dog-walking and pet sitting during the week. Morning, afternoon, and evening are all fine for me; whatever helps you out the most!
Cats and dogs both tend to love me pretty quickly, and I don't think I will have any problems putting your pets at ease. I had a german sheperd and an australian sheperd growing up, so I have plenty of experience with big dogs and energetic dogs - and I love taking them for walks or hanging out with them.
My area has plenty of great places for dog walks, such as Memorial South Park, Macdonald Park, and Queen Elizabeth Park. I am also happy to come to you and walk your dog around whatever parks you have in your neighbourhood.
If that all sounds good to you, I offer the following services:

Dog Walking: I offer 30-45 minute dog walks. I will come to you, pick up your dog(s), and take them for a walk around your neighbourhood and any nearby parks before dropping them off back at home. I will not take your dog off leash unless specifically requested by the owner and only in enclosed spaces such as fenced off-leash dog areas at a park. Dog walking costs $18, with an extra $5 charge per extra dog. If you have a particularly energetic dog that needs longer than 45 minutes let me know and I am happy to work something out so I can accomodate your pet's needs.
Home Visits: I offer drop-in home visits. Depending on the pet and their needs I am happy to stay for up to 40 minutes per visit. During this time I can feed your pets, top up their water, take dogs outside to use the bathroom, administer oral medications, clean up after your pets, scoop litterboxes, take out any garbage, and do basic household maintenance like bringing in the mail and watering plants. I will send you (at least) one photo update per sitting and will absolutely take your pet to the vet if neccessary. Home visits cost $25 for one visit a day or $35 for two visits a day.
House Sitting: I offer overnight stays at your home with your pets. During this time I will do everything included in the Home Visits service while also providing 24-hour care and attention for your pets. If I have appointments that require me to leave the house during the stay I will let you know at time of booking. Overnight House Sitting costs $55 per day.
