Hi, my name is Gwen and I am a university student currently going through Zoology. I have a vast passion for all types of animals and have spent most of my time outside of school working in veterinarian clinics, and wildlife rehab centers. Due to my living situation currently, I am unable to have a pet of my own but love taking care of those of my neighbors and friends. I have been housesitting pets(dogs, cats, lizards, bunnies) for 10 yrs and have done training in dog behavior as well as puppy classes.
I am very comfortable with providing prescribed medications that your pets may need, and will be very conscious of any health restrictions in the activities that they do with me. I am more than willing to spend the time to build trust with pets that may be more shy and timid, as well as working with animals that may show some aggression or negative behaviors. I have taken courses through my workplace on fear-free handling and have an understanding of animal body language when it comes to different behaviors that are exhibited that may require positive redirection.
Spending time with your pets would not only provide them with some socialization throughout the day but would also benefit my understanding of different personalities and some animal interaction throughout my week. I would love to help socialize your pets and provide them with so fun interactions throughout the day.
Gwen took great care of our cat while we were away!
Gwen was professional and responded quickly. She sent daily updates and photos. Our kitties were well taken care of and happy when we returned. We will definitely book her again!
