Hi! We're Rani and Robby, a caring and reliable couple based in Vancouver. While we’re new to Pawshake, we’ve been pet sitting for many years for family and friends, and are excited to now connect with more wonderful pets and their humans.

Robby grew up with his beloved brown Lab and cared for him throughout his life from birth to death. That deep bond shaped the way we both approach animal care—with presence, patience, and genuine connection. We take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality so they feel safe, relaxed, and truly at ease.

We’re both in our late 40s with flexible work-from-home schedules, which means your pets receive consistent companionship and care throughout the day. Rani works as a clinical therapist, and Robby works in tech. We don’t currently have pets of our own, which allows us the flexibility to combine our love of travel with caring for animals and homes.

We’re naturally calm, quiet, and grounded people. We enjoy reading, meditation, and yoga, and bring a steady, peaceful presence into the homes we stay in. Pets tend to sense that energy and settle in quickly with us.

Although we’re based in Vancouver, we love traveling for the right sit. We’re especially drawn to the Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast, Okanagan, Whistler, Pemberton, and many other quiet, nature-filled areas. We have a soft spot for unique homes and peaceful environments, and we really enjoy longer stays where we can build a genuine connection with your pets.
