Hi, I'm Tenal! I offer in-home boarding for anyone looking for a true "home away from home" alternative to kennels. I live in a semi-detached, two story house with a fully fenced backyard in Vaughan.

I've been boarding for many years (my small business is called Boutique Boarding, you can check it out on Instagram!). On top of that, I have 13+ years of animal care experience, including work as a dog trainer and in shelters, grooming facilities, vet clinics and dog daycares. I've also spent over a decade fostering and volunteering with rescues. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from puppies to seniors, including working breeds, special-needs dogs and dogs with behavioural challenges. I have experience with and am comfortable with both PR+ and balanced training.

I keep my home small and calm: generally no more than one to two dogs in my care (in addition to my own dog). Exceptions are possible for multi-dog households. My dog Seth, a 23 lb potcake, is dog-social but reads cues well and gives space to dogs who prefer minimal interaction.

My partner and I both work from home full-time, so your dog gets structured care all day. A typical day includes morning and evening walks or runs, meals on your dog's schedule, play and enrichment sessions, structured play with my dog if they're dog social, time in my fully fenced backyard, and naps. Dogs are crated overnight and whenever they're unsupervised, with stuffed frozen Kongs or durable toys to keep crate time relaxed.

For safety, I don't visit dog parks, allow interactions with outside dogs, or do on-leash greetings.

I'm bonded and insured (ProFur), DogSafe Canine First Aid/CPR certified, and can give oral and injected medications. Expect multiple photo and video updates every day!
