About Julia (Jules)
Hi! My name is Julia, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. While living in the Cayman Islands, I fostered and cared for multiple rescue dogs before they found their forever homes. This gave me experience with a wide range of personalities, routines, energy levels, and care needs. I’ve also cared for dogs and cats for family and friends over the years, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets.
I currently work part-time in hospitality just five minutes from my home, which gives me flexibility for dog walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and overnight stays depending on my schedule. My shifts are usually only 3–4.5 hours long, and if needed, I can often work around your pet’s schedule or book time off for longer stays.
I love spending time outdoors and staying active, so daily walks are something I genuinely enjoy. Walks are typically 60 minutes, but I’m more than happy to do longer/shorter or multiple walks each day if your dog enjoys extra exercise. We also have Thetis Lake nearby, which is one of my favourite places for walks and hikes, making it a great adventure for energetic pups.
At home, my yard is fenced, although the side gate is currently being repaired. Because of this, dogs will always be safely leashed when outside until the gate is complete. Inside, your pet will receive plenty of attention, playtime, cuddles, potty breaks, fresh water, and lots of love. If I ever need to step out briefly, it is only for a short period, and I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and secure before leaving.
I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special instructions. Every pet is unique, and I want them to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you always know how they’re doing.
I recommend a meet-and-greet before bookings to make sure we’re a great fit for one another however I understand if you are on a time crunch and know how to give the pets space until they are ready For interactions. For boarding and overnight stays, I’m happy to care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, as well as cats, as long as I have the information I need to make them feel comfortable.
I live with my sister, who is also a trusted animal lover. She works regular daytime hours as a house painter and has plenty of experience being around pets, so your furry family member will always be surrounded by caring people.
I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
