I grew up on a farm, where we raised chickens, ducks and geese, pigs and had dairy cows for milk. Our Jersey, Daisy, used to follow me in the fields like a dog, because I milked her by hand from the time I was 12 until I graduated from high school. I made extra money milking our neighbours goats. I grew up on horseback. I rescued an injured crow and nursed it back to health, and until Inky fell in love and flew off, had a crow as a constant companion. In the past twenty years I've had two dogs, Cactus Jack and Panhandle Slim, one a rescue, and I currently live with a cat, Nisha. I have frequently cared for and looked after the pets of friends. On the brink of 65 I no longer run two marathons a year, but walk 10K every day. I have experience getting cats and dogs to take medication, and have administered insulin. In short, I love animals and have a lot of experience taking care of them. I'd love to care for your pets, or help your dogs get the exercise they need.
