About Robyn
I am a young, active individual who loves spending time with animals. I grew up around big dogs and had no fear or trepidation about being around them. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and most larger breeds need the exercise, and I’m happy to take them with me for trail walks or just long walks around the neighbourhood.
As much as I love bigger dogs, I couldn’t forget to mention how precious and vital smaller dogs are as companions. Whether your small dog needs a careful walk or some time cuddling while you’re away, I’m happy to help ensure they stay healthy and safe.
I have over two years of experience as a professional dog walker and pet sitter and close to 10 years total working with animals in a variety of capacities. I have worked and trained with a wide variety of breeds, from working line Malinois to Chihuahuas. I have also volunteered in multiple vet clinics, where I learned about proper leash handling and essential medical information. In addition, I am certified in pet first aid through St. John’s Ambulance and am working towards becoming a certified dog handler.
I also have experience handling and raising puppies from birth. It is important for puppies to be well-socialized; even a new dog walker can do wonders for socializing a new puppy.
In addition to taking care of dogs, I also have experience in cat care, from proper feedings to administering subcutaneous injections.
I require at least one meeting before the start of any service so your pet can become familiar with me. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels as comfortable and safe as possible. The home I am staying in or entering for their walk is theirs.
Let me know if your dog has special needs, dietary restrictions, or behaviours to watch out for. Every dog has a unique personality and things they like and don't like. It is always best for me to know these things in advance so I can make sure to keep them away from anything that will cause unnecessary stress.
