Hi,
My name is Julie and I live in Midtown Toronto.
I offer Pawshake services in the Yonge & St. Clair area (as far as Mt. Pleasant to the east and Bathurst/St. Clair W to the west).
I work full-time at a not-for-profit healthcare organization and am also a professional actor.
I love being around and taking care of all animals (except snakes :)
I am a fun, interesting, personable, compassionate, trustworthy and responsible house sitter/home visitor. I don't just see Pawshaking just as a job, but an ongoing opportunity to spend important and quality time with some of the loveliest creatures in this city.
I enjoy playing, walking, brushing, hanging out and doing my absolute best to ensure that all of the animals receive the best care, love and attention.
My services include house sitting and dog boardring.
House Sitting Services - this service includes staying in your home & looking after all of your pets needs while you are away.
- Unless I have to go into work (I sometimes work remotely), I will be in your home taking care of it and your pets, ensuring that everyone and everything is safe and secure. Including:
- Your pet(s) are fed as required and always have access to fresh water
- That dogs are able to go to "their business" regularly, and walked as required
- That litter boxes are cleaned everyday, fresh litter added when required, and that used litter is disposed of
- That basic medications are administered
- That your pets are kept in a hygenic, happy and content condition - any messes of the pet are cleaned up, and any signs of illness or injury are reported to you a.s.a.p.
- Oodles of brushing, cuddling, playing and hanging out are always included :)
- I can assist with basic/miscellaneous housekeeping chores - gathering mail, watering plants, putting out
garbage, compost and recycling bins, etc.
- Sending you at least 1 photo and update each day
Dog Boarding: (this service includes looking after your dog in my home and all caring for all of their needs while you are away).
Please note that I only board small to medium sized dogs at my home, and only 1 dog at a time.
I do not board on Wednesday's or Thursday's as I am the home office on those days.
I will ensure that:
- Your dog is fed as required and always has access to fresh water
- Your dog is able to go outside to do "their business" regularly, and gets at least one - two walks (approx. 45 min. per day).
- Administer basic medications
- Sending you at least 1 photo and update each day
- That your pet is kept in a hygenic, happy and content condition, and that any messes of the pet are cleaned up, and any signs of illness or injury are reported to you a.s.a.p.
- Oodles of brushing, cuddling, playing and hanging out are always included :)
Outside of working, acting and Pawshake, I am a nature lover, very active in arts and culture, an active cyclist/advocate, and volunteer at WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms).
I grew up with an assortment of animals and have been Pawshaking for a few years now. I am grateful for the opportunities to care for some of the most wonderful, well-behaved, sometimes comical, unconditionally loving fur-beings I have met.
Woof and Meow,
Julie

We were very happy with the care and attention that Julie gave our two critters and with how clean and tidy she left our place. Excellent choice.
Julie was an amazing sitter for my 1-year-old golden retriever, Fleetwood. She was patient, sweet, and gave him all the attention and love so he wouldn't miss home for the four days we were away.
Julie also kept us updated with pictures, and it was always quick and easy to communicate with her.
We will definitely call her again and recommend her to anyone who's looking for a caring and loving pet sitter.
