Hi, I'm Anamaria! 🐾

I'm a Veterinarian-turned-researcher, new to Vancouver and genuinely craving daily animal contact. I trained and worked as a vet before moving into academia — my background with animals is real and hands-on. Caring for pets in their own homes is genuinely how I want to spend that time back.

I know how to read animal behaviour, handle anxious or reactive pets calmly, and spot early signs that something might be off. I'm currently volunteering at OWL Wildlife Rehabilitation Society in Delta, which keeps me grounded in the practical, unglamorous side of animal care — the feeding, the cleaning, the showing up consistently.

Being new to Vancouver, spending time with dogs and getting to know their people is honestly one of the best ways I can think of to start feeling at home here. If you're looking for someone reliable, attentive, and who will treat your pet like they actually matter — I'd love to meet them.

I care for both dogs and cats, and I'm especially comfortable with elderly pets and those with special needs. I can administer oral medications and injections if required.

What I offer:

Drop-in visits — I come to your home, check in on your pet, feed them, refresh water, clean up, and spend quality time with them. Visits typically last 30–60 minutes, depending on your pet's needs.

Dog walks — Neighbourhood walks tailored to your dog's pace and energy. I'm comfortable with multiple dogs and with dogs who need a bit more patience on the lead.

House sitting — I stay in your home and maintain your pet's full routine while you're away. Your pet stays where they're most comfortable, with consistent care throughout the day.

I go to your home for all services — your pet stays in their own environment, with their own smells, their own bed, and their own routine. I work with dogs and cats.

I'm available 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM in summer, and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in fall and winter. I'm fluent in English and Spanish.
