I always grew up with dogs and cats in my family. However a few years ago my first dog who was truly mine, and not a family pet, passed away. Due to not knowing where I wanted to do my masters program, I have been putting off getting a new dog and cat until I am in a more settled place in my life. Still, I became the family pet sitter in the mean me to still get pet and cuddle time until I am settled and in a place to get a pet again. 

My girlfriend and I however started to do long pet/house sits to have a place to stay while travelling to see each other and when we met in the middle to go diving. Now we both decided to keep doing it as a means to save money to pay for flights to see each other more often.

Aside from from pet sitting, I am currently a library clerk at the University of Alberta, and recently finished my bachelors degree in history. I'm in the process of narrowing down grad school programs and paying off my student loan before going back to school, with the end goal being getting my PhD in history.
