Hello. My name is Roberta Shaffer, residing in Chomedey, Laval.
I have been living in Laval for over 10 years and I LOVE IT!
I am 61 years young and I live with my handsome fur son named Solly!
I am a customer service rep for a medical distributor (the office is 10 minutes from where I live).
I love nature, working out, reading, meditating, and spending time with animals! I have been an animal lover my whole life. Dogs and cats have been in my life since a young age; including turtles, goldfish, a guinea pig and a chameleon named Jack! :-)
Whatever the species, there is a special place in my heart reserved for every being...no matter how many legs or none at all.
Those who know me call me Mrs. Dolittle because of the interaction I have with animals, whether it is with my own precious fur baby Solly, visiting a friend's pet(s), coming across a little precious creature in the park or giving aid to a Canadian goose, a raccoon, a guineau pig and many more. I have cat sat for friends and have done dog walking as well.
I am available for the city of Laval to visit your home twice a day and/or to take your fur baby for a walk, or any other care for a pet you require.
If there is something that you need to explain to me, I learn quickly and I am not squemish.
You can be assured that I will be with your animal for a longer duration of time than 30 or 60 minutes. Spending time with an animal gives me joy and a wonderful sense of purpose; especially with those animals who take a longer time to warm up to people. I am calm and patient and respect that precious being in front of me (or if they're under the sofa! LOL!)
I have taken a 4 part feline training in French (Je suis complètement bilingue) & I am always doing research to learn what I can about different animals. This summer, August 20th, I will be taking the St-John's ambulance FIRST AID\CPR course for animals. (I have recently renewed by FIRST AID\CPR course for humans and have I received my certificate with an A+) I administer medication orally and will be learning how to administer medication by injection in the near future. When you ask me to take care of your precious love, be assured you can have peace of mind. It will be my pleasure and my delight to go to your home. I hope to meet you and your fur babies/other animal babies soon!
