I have been pet sitting on here as my main job since 2017. I have had the opportunity to care for some amazing cats and dogs in that time. I started because my apartment building didn’t allow me to have pets of my own, so borrowing others pets seemed like a good solution! I have since moved and adopted a lovely cat named Nora (@noranoirkitty on IG though I forget to update it a lot!)

I grew up always having both a cat and a dog and love both equally, along with all other creatures both great and small. This job has even led to my Mom adopting one of the cats I took care of several times over a couple years when his owners were no longer able to keep him (he’s the orange tabby eating my hair in pics!).

I am based in Mission and I use a bicycle to visit all my clients (summer & winter). My service area is the Inner City including Mission/Cliff-Bungalow, Erlton, Ramsay, Inglewood (to Blackfoot), Bridgeland, Sunnyside, Hillhurst, Westmount, West Hillhurst (most of), Beltline (East Village all the way to Sunalta) Lower Mount Royal, Elbow Park, Rideau, Roxboro, Parkhill, the lower part of Bankview by 17th, and Lower Mount Royal.

Please see the service area map in my profile. Anywhere within the green is good to go most of the year. The blue areas are normally fine, but if my schedule is busy in the winter time, I may not be able to cover it. Orange is schedule/weather dependent, but please ask! If you're beyond those borders, feel free to ask but I am likely not available.

Home visits vary in length depending on the pets but always include feeding and fresh water, litter scooping, and the opportunity to play or cuddle. Some cats aren't very keen on the latter, so I may just make sure they are around and well before I go. Others can play all day and if I have nowhere else to be, that's been known to happen! I cap visits at 30 min during busy times unless otherwise agreed.

Housesitting is overnight and location dependent as I need to be able to come home during the day. I do evaluate on a case by case basis, and am flexible with what is required and what times I would need to be at the house.

I only do single visits, in the morning, on Christmas Day. If two are medically required, alternative arrangements may be necessary for the day but I am happy to work with you as best I can.

STAT HOLIDAY BOOKINGS: Any bookings which fall on a Federal Stat holiday (New Years Day, Good Friday, Canada Day, Labour Day, and Christmas Day) will be charged at twice the usual rate - meaning the addition of an extra day, where I will not be visiting, will need to be added to the booking. Please feel free to ask any questions about this.

Pet sitting is my full time job. I do not get weekends off, or regular weekly days off. This allows me to be very flexible and available when needed, including at the last minute and for emergencies.
