About me and my experience:

Hello! My name is Anna-Faye and I'm your friendly neighbourhood pet sitter! I’ve taken care of dogs for most of my life, from family dogs, friends dogs and my own dogs. I am an experienced sitter and have handled dogs of all walks of life (small, large, puppy and senior). I have also worked with some foster dogs who were abandoned and need extra attention. I come equipped with obedience training as I firmly believe that consistent training during puppyhood and lasting throughout a dogs life is imperative. I’ve also administered medication to dogs of all ages and sizes. 

I currently own a senior toy poodle (nearing 11 years old) with separation anxiety, who requires some extra care and occasional medication, a friendly cat and previously owned a Great Dane (passed) and a Dalmatian (passed). After the loss of our other good-boy I’ve been looking to fill the void but not quite ready to take the plunge and replace him yet. I think that dog/pet-sitting has offered me a happy medium! 

My main operation on here is house-sitting and boarding but I also offer daycare, drop-ins, dog walking and other pet care. I absolutely love dogs, probably way too much (if even possible) - I’m literally that girl that shows up to a social gathering and makes friends with the dog(s). I also take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures with dogs. In the end, I really love growing with my pupper parents and being a part of their life. I’ve grown to meet so many people through dog sitting and I couldn’t be happier with what I do at the end of the day.

Schedule:

I work from home, full-time, for the Government of Canada. Therefore, I’m able to give your dog all the attention needed and they would never be unattended. 

I wake up between 6:00am-7:00am, so your pet is able to be let out early in the morning with consecutive potty-breaks throughout the day. Breakfast is served shortly after waking up. My lunch break (11:30am) is an hour long which allows for a walk. After work (3:00pm) your furry friend will get let out for another walk. If boarding, dinner is fed between 5:00pm-6:00pm (unless specified otherwise) and then they get aalll of the attention and snuggles in the evenings up until bed time. I’m also an avid runner, so if you have a high energy dog that could benefit from good run, I’d be more than happy to do that! There won’t be any lack of exercise or mental stimulation for your furry friend while in my care. Working from home also allows for me to leave my house to do drop-ins and/or give your dog a walk. 

On weekends my schedule is very open. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have specific or last minute requests, I’m pretty flexible!

Security:

It is important for me to provide a safe and a secure environment for all care provided, whether in my own house or yours. For house-sitting: Rover conducts a background check and I have undergone a thorough background/security clearance for my full-time job, so I can confirm that I am trustworthy and that any questionable behaviour is not worth it to me. I purchase my own groceries for the duration of the job, so providing me food isn't necessary. I only sleep in the assigned room that is provided for me and do not use or enter any other rooms unless prior permission is granted from the owner. I also clean up after myself (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, bedding, vacuuming etc.) throughout and on the last day of my stay. I ask that any care instructions for both the home and your pet be noted for me to follow (eg: watering plants, feeding/walking schedules, vet information, anything that you need for me to know etc.) I will happily work your dogs schedule in to my own (please see schedule above) and can also make adjustments. For pet boarding/doggy-daycare: I live in a mid-sized single family home, in a trusted neighbourhood, that comes equipped with a very large, fenced yard. I have a playful elderly toy poodle, named Zero, and a friendly cat (he’s the boss), named Felix, to also keep your pup company while in my home. Dogs will be let out a few times daily and get lots of outdoor supervised playtime in our extremely secure backyard. 

I take this job very seriously and safety is my number one priority. Your pets will always have someone around to give them lots of attention and affection. I do everything I can to meet the needs of your pets to assure they are safe, comfortable, and having fun during their stay. Daily photos and communication/updates are also provided for all services.
