About Nina

I have had pets my entire life- and as I grew up and older- I ended up breeding four litters of kittens with my cats at home. I have experience with budgie birds, cats, dogs, geckos, turtles, hamsters, Guinea pigs, & the list continues! I absolutely adore animals. I have an 8 year old daughter who adores them just as much as me and I love teaching her about all the experiences I have gone through with my furry family members and furry family members of others. I would love to help other family’s give the care and attention to their fur babies during times where they have other things to tend to. I can watch animals in my home or yours, I can go one or two or three times to your home in a day if necessary to feed, play with, walk, or just watch family guy with your fur baby- whatever the furry friend wants, the furry friend gets! Also, a minor heads up—- I’m a sucker- I have a hard time saying no when I give one treat and go to close the bag and I get that look- you know, the look with those eyes. Those cute and luring eyes of the furry family member that absolutely LOVES those treats you got in the bag. I’m a sucker. And I apologize for that ahead of time- I do follow diets as my cats are all on a diet currently, but again, I’m a sucker and I give in easily. Only once tho- I have learned to limit myself because well- my cats are all on diets now. The vet says “Nina, you gotta cut their food intake down-“ then she proceeds to snuggle my cat that’s being checked out and says “but you’re soooo cute”. Then I get a look again - “but- they need to be on a diet immediately”. I’m a sucker- I just love animals so much that I will do anything and everything for a furry family member. Yours or mine- I believe all family members deserve love and happiness and all the attention I can give!- that goes for human and non human. I give cuddles and pets and can be extremely consistent if you want me to teach your furry family member to sit or stay or shake paw. I would love to bring my daughter as well if I’m ever needed on a day when she’s with me- she is the most genuine and caring little lady I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and raising! I can honestly say- I am very proud of myself for how she is with furry family members. She’s gentle and although if she gets a “scratch” - she will instantly require a bandaid (there’s never any blood- but you know how kids are- I humour her- she is a funny funny kid) BUT she never blames the furry family member. I am very impressed with how patient she is and even with that “scratch” she’ll go right back to it and proceed with her playing of said furry family member. Currently- I am completing cancer treatment so I’m quite open schedule wise- I do plan on going back to school at some point for a new career path, but I always have time to play with and give immense amounts of love and attention to as many furry family members as I can- mine and yours included! My home environment is clean and pet friendly- litters are cleaned twice daily and I have a lovely backyard for any pet that goes outdoors. I am restricted to how big of a dog I am able to “control”. I am a tiny human so I would feel more comfortable with smaller dogs rather than larger ones. However, cats- I can handle any size! My biggest cat is past 25 pounds in weight and he’s not fat- he’s just a dog sized cat! I love going on walks! I try to go for a long walk, even if I’m without a furry family member- at least twice a day. I can accommodate as many walks as the fur-parent would like and I always follow feeding schedules that are provided for the furry family members I care for. As I said above- I’m a sucker- but after one extra treat- I redirect my eyes to prevent my heart strings being tugged on for more treats ;). I am comfortable giving medication if necessary as my precious pancake was on Metacam for the last two years of his life as he lost the use of his hind legs slowly. I always make sure the furry family members I am caring for are well supervised and loved. Final note- if my daughter is with me during a visit in my home or another- I will inform the fur parents ahead of time with the option to cancel or reschedule if that’s not appropriate for their or their furry family members’ lifestyle.
