About Lisa
Please carefully read the description for the service you're seeking prior to requesting. Thank you!
I'm an experienced and hard-working sitter in the Centretown area, offering peace of mind that your home and little ones are well taken care of in your absence.
About me: I am a full-time nursing student in the Centretown area. My program is mostly remote, so I am home most weekdays, and every weekend. I have lived with animals my entire life and understand, naturally, that you're on this website seeking the best possible care for your little ones. That's exactly what I'm here to provide! I've been a Pawshake sitter since February 2019 and have been loving every moment of making so many new four-legged friends! I am experienced with administering medication, including injections, to animals as well.
About my services:
* I only offer home visits and house sitting in Centretown and surrounding areas as I don't have a vehicle! Sorry!
HOME VISITS consist of one evening visit that lasts up to 45 minutes, depending on your pet's needs. During this visit, I would feed your pet(s), refresh their water dish, play & socialize with them, clean their litter box, and so on. I'm also happy to water your plants, bring your mail inside and take garbage/recycling out if need be.
I also offer HOUSE SITTING in Centretown and surrounding, i.e., Little Italy, Old Ottawa East, Somerset West, Glebe, Byward Market, and Golden Triangle. The house sitting option means Birdie and I would stay at your residence round the clock, provided I don’t have any bookings for home boarding at the requested time. This service would be ideal for households with both cats and dogs, or for animals who have a harder time adjusting to new environments.
HOME BOARDING at my spacious, ground-level apartment means that your cat or dog would stay with me and my pets for overnights over an extended period of time. You can rest assured that your feline friends will get tons of pats and cuddles, and that dogs will be walked twice a day with plenty of opportunities to run around the yard in between. All you need to bring is their food, treats, and leash!
*Unfortunately, I am unable to board unneutered males at this time. I have a female puppy who has not yet been spayed.
My apartment is puppy-proofed, equipped with a large dog crate (please note that I will *never* crate animals unless specifically requested for training/routine purposes), puppy pads if needed, three litter boxes (scooped daily), and lots of toys, beds, and treats for cats and dogs alike. It's clean and spacious, with big windows for bird-watching as well as a big, fenced-in yard, and a large basement for tons of extra play time, no matter the weather. I have installed several pet gates with built-in cat doors throughout the apartment, so that cats and small dogs can have their privacy away from the larger guests when I am unable to supervise. My place is highly accessible, located close to the Kent street highway off-ramp, and the Lyon Street on-ramp in Centretown. Conveniently, there are also plenty of dog-friendly parks nearby for off-leash adventures!
About my pets: I have four pets of my own: An easygoing, outdoor ginger tabby named Louie (11 years old, male, neutered) who spends about 98% of his time roaming the neighbourhood; a young, playful, and extremely dog-savvy black cat named Gigi Luigi (2 years, male, neutered) who loves making new kitty friends; a bouncy, fun-loving black labradoodle/wolfhound named Birdie (~6 years, female, spayed); and a golden retriever x labradoodle puppy named Bowie (9 months, female, unspayed). All four would relish the extra company, and have been socialized to respect animals of all shapes and sizes.
My pets remain up to date on all annual vaccines, and I strongly prefer for yours to be vaccinated, too. If they are not quite up to date, I kindly ask that you inform me.
I think that covers it! Thanks for giving my page a gander. I hope to meet you and your little ones soon! ☺️
