About Claudia
Every furry companion I meet I treat with respect and care. I love animals, I grew up with dogs and cats in my home and even the occasional pigeon rehabilitation. These days I have the love of my life, the only male I can depend on, my cat Hammy. I would love to adopt more furry companions in the future but right now I'm focused on spoiling my senior kitty.
In my teens I would dog walk and cat sit for the neighbors. During college, I worked at a dog washing business. This job taught me that on the other side of loving and joyful dogs, there's a time to really dig into those moments but also become a leader to them. Being more firm and giving comands to keep the other animals and people around safe and some security to the dog, that I know what I'm doing.
I'm currently looking to get back into dog walking/cat sitting. I enjoy getting outside and discovering more about my neighborhood during walks. During the winter/summer break, I'm happy to take on the responsibility of looking after you're furry family member.
Day-in-the-life of my dog walking experience: I will arrive promptly and say hello. If it's in the morning, give breakfast before we head for a walk so they can digest during the walk. Having a look in the rooms for any accidents that might have occurred. Using the information provided, giving my full attention to how the doggo is responding to me and the surroundings. Noticing ahead if they're any dogs we might say hi to or move away if your doggo needs that space. Once home, clean the water dishes and food bowls. Then just chill out with my new doggo friend. Play with some toys and/or have some snuggles. Maybe a treat once in awhile. Before I leave, make sure everything is back in its place and doggo is secure and can't get into anything. This would be the same routine I would do for the evening if it's a two time visit. Day-in-the-life of cat sitting would be similar minus the walk, just more time for playing, getting exercise that way and some chill bird watching or scratch sessions on the couch.
