I am privileged to have been able to care for cats of all ages, temperaments, and needs. This includes energetic kittens, senior cats, confident social butterflies, and shy or “spicy” cats who need a little extra patience and understanding.

My experience comes from nearly a decade with my own shy and "spicy" cat, Mink, as well as my role as a Team Lead at a compassionate no-kill cat shelter in Barrie, ON. I rescued Mink at just 8 weeks old from a home where she was unfortunately bullied by other animals. As my first-ever cat, she really threw me into the deep end! I am forever grateful to have learned off the bat from her the importance of patience, boundaries, and trust-building with cats.

Despite Mink now thriving as a spoiled only child, I still felt I had more love to give, which brought me to my work at the shelter. Through my role as a Team Lead there, I’ve been so very lucky to work hands-on with hundreds of cats, especially during what can be one of the most stressful times in their lives. I've bonded with playful kittens learning socialization, senior cats needing gentler care and extra comfort, overweight cats on monitored feeding routines, nervous cats who prefer space and quiet companionship, and outgoing cats who want all the attention they can get. My approach is based on patience and understanding, and is always customized to each individual cat’s personality and needs.
