Pluto’s Place Ajax, is like a 5 star resort for your dog! Here, you can depend on an experienced, fully insured pet sitter and dog owner. We offer a higher standard of care with a fully supervised, kennel-free home environment, which includes a large deck and fully fenced yard, for your dog to run and play in!

Our Dogs:

We have three friendly beagles (1 foster) who love the company of other dogs. Pluto is a 2 year old male, Betsy is an 8yr old female, and Tango is a 13 year old female. We enjoy daily walks by the waterfront and throughout the neighbourhood and parks as part of our regular routine.

What to Expect:

Unlike a large kennel, we run a premium, semi-private pet service. We prioritise your dog’s schedule, routine, comfort, and needs above all, and as directed by you.

We provide safe, durable toys of all kinds that your dog may enjoy indoors and out. Inside, we have couches, blankets, and dog beds of all sizes to satisfy the comfort and preferences of all dogs!

If your dog is particularly active, we provide regular exercise playing fetch, frisbee, and tug in our backyard, as well as daily walks around the neighbourhood, and on the waterfront trail.

In addition to our large yard, we also have a separate, smaller yard reserved for small dogs and puppies to run and play in with dogs closer in size. Pluto makes for an ideal companion in either yard, as he is very gentle and will match his play style to the size and temperament of the dog he’s playing with. All yard play is supervised.

For walks, we provide complimentary leash training sessions, using positive reinforcement methods, to ensure all dog may safely join us on walks and enjoy the full experience!

Throughout the day, we’ll provide picture and video updates of your dog on our Instagram account, and sent directly to you, if requested.

We only accept 2-4 dogs at any time. All dogs are carefully vetted to make sure that they, and the pack they’ll be spending time with is a good fit based on personality, temperament, and play style. The safety and comfort of your dog is our first priority.

We only accept all dogs who play well with others, are well trained, and who can follow basic commands. Dogs with a history of biting or aggression will not be accepted.

Please note: For the fall and winter months, we will be accepting larger dogs (over 50lbs) on a case by case basis. Additional rates may apply, depending on their temperament, in-house manners, and activity level. (+10 for boarding, +5 for daycare).

Daycare hours:

Our daycare rate is priced for up to 9 hrs of care, starting as early as 6am, and ending no later than 10pm. Additional hours are 7$ on a weekday, 8$ on weekends, and 10$ over holidays.

Drop in Visits:

Please not that we charge an additional rate per additional pet, as well for appointments that are more than a 15 minute drive.

Before initiating a booking with Pluto’s Place, we kindly ask that you’re certain you’re ready to book, and willing to commit to our services. All Meet & Greets will be arranged upon a confirmed booking, and are mandatory for first time clients. Our time is valuable to us. We prioritise owners who communicate and who are ready to commit to a booking in a timely manner. If consulting with other sitters, or experience a change in plans, kindly inform or cancel the request. No hard feelings! Owners who do not respond promptly will have their requests archived to keep our availability open. We prioritise those who are ready to commit.
