As someone who has lived with dogs all my life, I understand the deep bond between pets and their owners. My love for animals began with the dogs I grew up with, and I’ve spent years raising and caring for puppies, providing overnight dog and cat sitting, and ensuring the well-being of countless pets.
Currently, my beloved dog isn’t in Montreal with me, and being away from her has only deepened my passion for caring for other pets. By looking after your furry friends, I get to share the love and affection I have for my own dog, helping me miss her a little less.
Availability:&nbsp;I am available during the week throughout the day, and fully available after 6 PM. I can do overnight stays every night and am flexible for daily visits and walks. Whether you need help in the morning, afternoon, or evening, I can accommodate your schedule.
Services:

  Daily Visits:&nbsp;I offer visits to your home once or twice a day, or more if requested. Each visit can last from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on your needs. During these visits, I can also water your plants and bring in the mail.
  Overnight Stays:&nbsp;I provide overnight care in your home, ensuring your pets are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for throughout the night.
  Dog Walking:&nbsp;I offer walks ranging from 30 minutes to two hours. I usually take pets to parks in downtown Montreal, where they can have fun and get some exercise.
  Medication Administration:&nbsp;I am experienced in administering pills to dogs and have cared for puppies from birth to three months.

I have lived with pets my whole life, and dogs have always been a very important part of my life. A few years ago I lost my longtime dog, and later I also lost the dog I had been sharing with my ex partner due to life circumstances. 
Since then, I have deeply missed having a dog around, which is one of the main reasons I would love to care for dogs here. I have thought about adopting, but at this stage of my life, pet sitting is the best way for me to give dogs the love, attention, and care they deserve. 
I live with my twin sister and my 7-year-old niece in a 3 1/2 apartment with good plenty of room, and both are very comfortable with me doing this. My sister also does pet sitting, so we are familiar with the routine and responsibility.
I like to follow each dog’s usual routine, because every dog is different. They eat and go out at different times, and I will adapt depending on their needs and routine. At the same time, exercise is very important to me, so during the day I always enjoy exploring new places to go with dogs, as well as dog parks where they can socialize, have fun, and enjoy their time.
I am also aware that some dogs may require medication. My dog, who was with me for 13 years, and my cats back in my hometown have needed medication at times, so this is not a problem for me as long as the dog is gentle and comfortable with it. For any emergency, I would like to have an emergency contact before the owner leaves their dog with me. I will also always keep a nearby emergency veterinary number on hand.
I have 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats within my family. During each 6-hour care block, I try to include one outing, usually around 30 minutes after meals, or earlier if needed. I aim for each outing to last between 30 and 45 minutes and include both physical exercise and mental stimulation.

Your dog will never be left alone, because I do not like dogs to feel lonely. I also do not keep dangerous objects in my home that could put a pet at risk. I have a balcony as well, which can be a great spot if your pet enjoys sitting calmly and watching birds or people passing by.
I am familiar with toxic foods for dogs and with behaviors that should not be normalized, so if you have any preferences you would like me to follow as part of your dog’s training, I am all ears. I trained my Australian Shepherd myself when I was living in the U.S., from the time she was given to me at just 3 weeks old. I am very patient, and I truly enjoy seeing dogs learn and develop good behavior.
Last but not least, I am a very calm person and I prefer spaces without excessive noise. I also understand that dogs can be sensitive to specific stimuli, some more than others, and I know how to recognize when they are feeling anxious. My pit bull was anxious, so I became familiar with how to respond in those moments. That said, I am always open to following your preferred protocol in case your dog experiences anxiety.
I offer dog care in 6-hour time blocks only. 
  
    On Mondays and Tuesdays, I am available from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., depending on availability.
    I also offer boarding/overnight care every day of the week, depending on availability, in the following time blocks: 7:00 p.m. to 01:00 a.m. and 01:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. depending on availability. 
  
***The rate that applies to each time block is the one listed below in my rates information under ‘Day Care Rate’ and ‘Boarding Rate.

I also take care of max two dogs at a time-if they come from the same household to avoid any problem between the puppies.

J'ai toujours été une fille de chiens! Je me souviens que plus jeune, j'allais m'asseoir devant le parc à chien proche de chez moi et je rêvais d'en avoir un à moi!! 
Ils ont toujours fait partie de ma vie, et j’ai eu mon propre chien avec qui je partageais tout. Une femelle doberman, Rayah! Récemment, j'ai dû la laisser partir, je suis donc sans animaux pour le moment. Les longues marches, les moments dehors, les petites routines du quotidien, ça m’a appris concrètement ce que ça veut dire de vraiment s’occuper d’un chien et ça me manque un peu! 
Je suis une personne très attentive et capable de s'adapter à la personnalité de chaque animal. J'ai l'habitude de garder des gros chiens, mais je suis aussi à l'aise avec les plus petits. Je peux également administrer des médicaments (oraux notamment) si jamais votre chien en a besoin.
Mon but, c’est vraiment que votre chien se sente en sécurité et aimé, comme à la maison! Je suis très disponible et attentive, donc n'hésitez pas à me faire part de toute inquiétude. Et je demeure joignable pendant la garde pour donner des nouvelles!
Je vis dans un grand appartement proche de parcs et très agréable pour faire des marches. J'aime beaucoup passer du temps dehors, tout comme faire des câlins ou des jeux à la maison. 
Je peux faire des promenades de 30 mins-1h selon les besoins du chien. Pour ce qui est du gardiennage, je peux m'adapter selon les besoins du chien. Je suis assez flexible, juste me laisser savoir les habitudes et préférences de votre animal:). On peut faire plusieurs marches par jour, ou encore aller au parc à chien ou rester à la maison à jouer! 
Finalement, je suis plus souvent disponible en soirée et le week-end et je préfère planifier une première promenade avant de procéder à une garde pour m'assurer d'établir un premier contact avec votre animal. 
J’accepte seulement les chiens (pas de chats) et vaccinés!

Je suis Catherine, j'ai 27 ans et je suis actuellement étudiante à la maitrise à l'Université du Québec à Montréal. J'offre mes services pour promener et/ou rendre visite à vos animaux de compagnie. J'ai grandi avec des chats et des chiens autour de moi et depuis que je suis en appartement, je m'ennuie des petites boules de poil.
Plus sérieusement, l'horaire flexible de ce métier m'attire. Je ne suis pas disponible les samedis, car je travaille à mon autre emploi.&nbsp;
Mon approche avec les animaux ressemble un peu à celle que j'ai avec les enfants, c'est-à-dire que je montre une ouverture à distance et je laisse l'autre venir vers moi (honnêtement, ça fonctionne mieux avec les animaux qu'avec les enfants :p)
Côté expérience, j'ai souvent gardé des animaux, mais jamais dans le cadre d'un emploi.&nbsp;

I live with my 8-year-old Chihuahua, Athos. He's neutered, loves the company of other dogs (especially larger ones—go figure!), and prefers chilling indoors rather than long outdoor adventures.
