I bring over 20 years of experience caring for, raising, and lightly training dogs and puppies, including senior dogs and those with special medical needs. Caring for older pups has built a strong understanding of the patience, gentleness, and consistency they require—whether that means administering medications, assisting with mobility, or ensuring they have a quiet, comfortable place to rest. Close attention is given to changes in behavior, health needs, and maintaining familiar care routines so dogs feel safe and supported.
Our home is truly a home away from home—calm, safe, and full of affection. Located inner city, we have a yard with a medium-sized, fully fenced front space, along with plenty of nearby walking areas for regular outings. Inside, dogs are treated like family, with multiple beds, toys, cozy rest spots, and plenty of cuddles.&nbsp;
Whether your dog is full of energy or enjoying their slower, golden years, they’ll receive attentive, individualized care in a relaxed and loving environment.&nbsp;

My family and I have always had cats. The cat I grew up with was more of a sibling than a pet, and my current cats are my children. I've had many a cat friend (and occasionally got along with them better than with their humans!), and in social situations, I dedicate as long to my friends' pets as I do to my friends themselves. I've trained my cats to do tricks, walk on a leash, and I brush their teeth daily.

Please make sure to let me know ahead of time if your cats have any preference, special needs, or particular behaviours that I should be aware of; I should be able to accommodate most of these. For instance, I can mix different types of food, adding some water to their food, heating it when it comes out of the fridge, adding supplements/medicine, etc. In some cases, I may also be able to trim claws, clean ears, and the like, if your cat is particularly friendly, too! I have experience administering medicine (pills, liquid medicine injected orally, inhaler, etc.).



I am a caring and responsible pet sitter who truly loves animals and enjoys spending time with them. I understand that pets are part of the family, and my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I provide a calm and home-like environment where pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision.

I have hands-on experience caring for my own pets and looking after pets for friends and family. This experience has helped me understand different pet personalities, routines, and needs. I am patient, attentive, and always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walking, playtime, and special care.

I am a substitute teacher, mom and lover of the outdoors. I have been lucky to have many beloved pets over the years and my home is especially bright these days with my poodle puppy Dolly. She is fully vaccinated, well socialised with other dogs and children and she has gone through basic dog training. We love to go for walks several times a day! I would love to include your dog in our adventures and offer you peace of mind knowing your furry friend is well cared for and having a great day with new friends. It's important that your dog enjoys other dogs and children between the ages of 8-18 as I have two children often at home. My schedule is flexible and can easily accommodate last minute dog walking requests. I have a split-level home and fenced yard so separation and safe outdoor space are readily available. I am near city trails for calm, stimulating, safe walks.&nbsp;

My name is Shannon. I'm an animal lover and mom to 3 cats; Fred, George, and Ginny; all Orange tabbys named after famous characters (any guesses? ).&nbsp;
Our family lost our beloved Gryffin, a black Labrador, earlier this year and we are missing the presence of having a pup in the house but not ready, or able, to get a dog of our own. 
I would enjoy helping families out by offering to watch your baby while you're traveling,  at an event, or just wanting to have a day to yourself.&nbsp;
I love and I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes...bring on the drool.  Our home is close to Fish Creek park and we have a fully fenced yard with green space.&nbsp;
As said, I have cats whom are comfortable with dogs except Ginny who will politely excuse herself and hide under the bed. 
I will only accept dogs whom are vaccinated.   Dogs will only be taken out on a lead with ID tags.  Safety is important. ‍🦺

I have hands-on experience caring for many cats with very different personalities, from affectionate and playful to shy and independent. At one point, I cared for up to four cats at the same time, which helped me develop strong observation skills and an understanding of feline routines, boundaries, and body language.
I also have experience supporting a mother cat during labor and caring for her newborn kittens. This taught me the importance of staying calm, patient, and attentive, especially when animals are vulnerable or stressed.
What sets me apart is my attentiveness and observation. I closely monitor cats’ eating habits, litter box use, energy levels, and behavior, and I notice small changes that may indicate discomfort or stress. I respect each cat’s unique personality and never force interaction, allowing trust to build naturally.
I treat every cat as an individual and care for them as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owner is away.
