Hi! I grew up in a home where we were always fortunate enough to have a dog. My wife and I have a friendly 2 year old Havapoo named Freddie that we absolutely adore and a friendly 6 year old cat named Ghost that is the best. They're the best friends. We both love cats and dogs, and animals of all kinds. We'd treat your dog as if they were our own. We have a fairly big house with lots of space and a completely fenced in and shaded backyard. When we're home we can leave the sliding door into our backyard open so your dog can come and go into the backyard as it pleases. I'd be happy to come by for daily visits to your home if that's what you're looking for instead. We would only take vaccinated dogs into our home and unfortunately cannot take another cat. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and horses my whole life. I’m trustworthy, reliable and have a genuine love for animals and I’d be happy to take care of your loved one!I currently work from home, so I have plenty of time to walk your dog or give attention to your animals. I do not have any pets, so I genuinely have a love for looking after animals as if they were my own. I have a spacious 2 bedroom apartment for your pet, and regularly walk through the Olympic Village dog park, seawall and numerous trails and parks on the daily. Your dog will be receiving the 5 star treatment as if they are staying in a hotel. It's located in a modern and spacious pet-friendly building in the downtown Vancouver core.I’m available to meet after 9 am on weekdays, up until 10pm. I will walk your dog(s) a minimum of 3 times a day for 1 hr+ if needed and can also provide them with treats (unless otherwise specified). For home visits, I'm available for either overnight stays or drop in visits for up to two hours at a time. I'm also available to water any plants and collect your packages or mail. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs that should be accounted for. I will be sure to note all of these, including dietary restrictions or medications.


Dog Lover! Experienced dog sitter/walker of all shapes and sizes. Hi my name is Josh and I'm 29 from Ireland originally. Absolutely love animals in particular dogs. Have lots of experience in walking/sitting dogs. Have also fostered dogs in the past when I have had the time to fully look after them. My first foster was a street dog rescued from the streets of Qatar named Malt. I learned a lot from fostering Malt as he was the first dog I had ever looked after which suffered from anxiety from past traumas from living on the streets. Juno ,a 12 week old border collie cross was my most recent foster from a local rescue center in Vancouver. I absolutely adore dogs and have done since a very young age. I joined Pawshake because I very much miss my little jack russell back home and think it's a great way to get to engage with dogs regularly while I'm away from home. I live in a shared house with my girlfriend and 2 roommates, who all love dogs. We have a fully fenced in back garden which ideal in the summer but can get a little boggy in the winter. 

I have always had a deep love for dogs, and my enthusiasm for their well-being drives my desire to become a pet sitter. At home, I am fortunate to have five beautiful dogs who bring immense joy and companionship into my life. Each one of them has a unique personality, and caring for them has taught me valuable lessons in patience, responsibility, and empathy.     House Sitting:&nbsp;When you're away, I'll take care of your dog in the comfort of their own home. This includes feeding, playing, and maintaining their daily routine to keep them happy and relaxed. I can administer medication if needed and training. I can also help in cleaning after your furry friend, water plants or feed any other type of pet you might have. I can stay as much as you need me to, and for security of your home and mine please be sure that I will Check Locks and Alarms, lights, collect mail and deliveries, keep up with basic maintenance like watering plants, make sure cameras are functioning properly, screen visitors carefully and limit access to you home, have a list of emergency contacts

Accompanying and taking care of pets is one of the things I enjoy the most, that's why it motivates me to be a pet sitter. I love to give love, attention and care to animals, and I feel very lucky to be able to do it.

I have experience in taking care of dogs, cats and even birds. I have had pets all my life (3 dogs and 3 cats) and I have taken care of the pets of friends and family on several occasions.

As for vaccines, I think it is important for pets to be up to date with their vaccines to make sure they are healthy and do not transmit diseases. However, I also understand that some pets may have medical restrictions that prevent them from receiving certain vaccines. In those cases, I make sure to take the necessary precautions to guarantee the health and safety of all the pets in my care.
